What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Blade Runner 2049

Didn't quite have the 'soul' of the original... but it's still VERY VERY good.

!!! Spoiler !!! !!! Spoiler !!! !!! Spoiler !!! !!! Spoiler !!!

I'd still watch it again for the sheer visual spectacle and sound design alone... but while Gosling was very good as always, the lack of a solid a love interest or relationship meant that he was not able to build a chemistry with someone (ala Drive), and to me that's an issue with the plot rather than his acting. Harrison Ford was as always really solid. Pleasantly surprise to see Jared Leto in this but felt he was too hand off-ish ... again to do with the plot rather than his acting. His right hand (wo)man was superb though.

At the end of the day though, it had style, it had substance... it just lacked 'heart' for me.

there is this one scene that just goes on and on so much so that i just started laughing. i'd like to see how different people react to it. it's something else.

i don't even know how to describe this movie other than it's a slow burn especially early on and has very little dialog.

i heard it described as the most film festival movie that has ever film fesitval'd. but i kind of liked it and would watch it again.

The latest spiderman movie.
Pretty good.

Hacksaw ridge.
Really good war movie.

Really?

I thought it was laughably bad. Most of the acting throughout, the sets (felt cheap, almost play-like in parts), the locations for the war scenes, the script. The one scene when they're in war and a dude blows up was so hilariously bad it was funny. And a dude blew up! I am still left baffled as to how that movie was nominated for a Best Pic for the Oscars. I love Braveheart, liked Apocalypto a lot, and thought The Man Without a Face was a very underrated flick years ago. This film paled in comparison to those though for me.

Note: I never saw TPotC.

I hated TPotC.

I'm watching Wind River now. So far so good.

I liked this. It wasn't great. I'd give it a solid 7.8. Very tough scene for me to watch near the end.
I will have to give my thoughts when I get done. (I usually watch a movie over a few days.)

I loved it. Brought tears to my eyes a couple times. I love a movie that can do that.
Great acting by Renner. The plot kept me captivated throughout. Ending was satisfying (and needed to be after what was witnessed).
Loved the scenery throughout and some of the shots were fantastic. (I love that area and hope/dream to live near there someday)

Probably gonna watch The Dark Tower now. Expecting it to suck tbh.
