"I've been amazed and disappointed by so much of what this President had said, and his approach to running this country, which seems to be one of just a never ending divisiveness. But his comments today about those who have lost loved ones in times of war and his lies that previous presidents Obama and Bush never contacted their families, is so beyond the pale, I almost don't have the words.

This man in the Oval Office is a soulless coward who thinks that he can only become large by belittling others. This has of course been a common practice of his, but to do it in this manner–and to lie about how previous Presidents responded to the deaths of soldiers–is as low as it gets. We have a pathological liar in the White House: unfit intellectually, emotionally, and psychologically to hold this office and the whole world knows it, especially those around him every day. The people who work with this President should be ashamed because they know it better than anyone just how unfit he is, and yet they choose to do nothing about it. This is their shame most of all."

Pop or Trump, Trump or Pop? I can't tell them apart. Pop is a pompous bully who has shown time and time again that he has no respect nor compassion for little people like beat reporters. Indeed he seems to take pleasure out of humiliating people who can do nothing about it. So if one pompous bully has words for another pompous bully it means nothing to me beyond the sadness I feel that either one of them is held up as a hero.

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who can do nothing for them or to them.

Lol.
One guy is a coach who doesn't like getting interviewed. The other guy is the president and seems to be trying to destroy the country.
Yep, samesies.

You're not paying attention.

Loving Pop more and more these days.

The only thing he said that I take issue with is regarding the people around him - at least the people he seems to be addressing.

I have no doubt in my mind that General Kelly and to a lesser extent Rex Tillerson are essentially taking a bullet for this country by putting up with this imbecile on a daily basis. The alternative is an administration full of Trump yes-men (and relatives) who will lead this country down a path of god knows what.

A cabinet can remove a sitting president.

This post makes Dutch seem like an intellectual.

I'm guessing you're referring to the 25th Amendment?

If so, that would require Pence's sign-off (and a whole lot more). And I don't include Pence in my list of adults. He's fallen in line with the rest of the Trump stooges. That publicity stunt at Lucas Oil Field (which cost the taxpayers 100's of thousands of dollars by the way) cemented his status.

And if that new article in the New Yorker is accurate, then Pence is a complete chump to boot because he works for a guy who gets off on ridiculing him in front of other cabinet members..

Yeah, I do not see that happening either. And as long as congress is held by the Rs they will resist impeaching him. They will hold on till the very end.

Best bet for those hoping for this is the 2018 elections IMO. If the Ds take the house or senate they can push that as a topic much more effectively.

A cabinet can remove a sitting president.

But it has never been done and would almost certainly cause a minor crisis. I think it may happen, but I think it will require a completely egregious act by Trump.

You're getting **** on for this post, but I've always disliked Pop for how he treats and bullies reporters. His act got old a long time ago for me.
Speaking of being divisive, I'd imagine he's alienating half of his fan base in Texas with his comments. That said, I can't stand Trump and he's the president. How did we get here?

One can be rude while the other has the chance to adversely affect the entire world. The potential for harm is not comparable. At all.

I'm not really comparing them and I understand that. My point is Pop is hardly, for me, the voice of reason. The guy is a arrogant bully.

I was still referencing Mellow's post like you were. It's why he is getting such a negative response.

That was my initial response. Obviously the two situations are not equal, but one ******* bully calling out a flat out ******* is a little rich.

Do you really need to ask? People like the Shriller, Red, our ridiculous media, the democratic flip flopping on Iraq and everything else including backtracking on so many promises after they won complete control, the republican obstructionism, Obama's divisive race baiting rhetoric, the severe Bush hate, and dynasty political families pissing off Americans about Clinton.

There have been several completely egregious acts.

Look... I'm just reaching into the mind of someone who says that the shame is greatest for those who continue to work for him. They are empowered.

Yeah the 2 really are not on the same playing field in terms of damage done, but there is a little irony there that warrants being called out.
