My dream draft:

Jazz move into the top 3 with the NJ pick and draft Derrick Williams to replace AK. The Jazz then use the #12 overall pick on Jimmer. We then go with this depth chart:

PG: Devin Harris, Jimmer Fredette, Earl Watson
SG: Gordon Hayward, C.J. Miles, Jimmer Fredette
SF: Derrick Williams/Paul Millsap, Jeremy Evans, C.J Miles
PF: Derrick Favors, Paul Millsap/Derrick Williams, Jeremy Evans
C: Al Jefferson, Kyrylo Fesenko/Mehmet Okur

Thats a good draft, if we stay at 6 my second dream is Biyombo/Kanter and Jimmer. We need shooting so bad and Jimmer is one of the best in a long time.

My dream draft is Jazz pick wins top 3 and get either Irving, D Will, or Kanter. Depending on what position is addressed with the top 3 pick, get Knight, Leonard, or Biyombo at 7. Can't wait to see where the picks land. Getting Irving and Williams would be cool I guess too.

That is what I was getting at. If the Jazz do end up with that 12th pick and Jimmer is there, is there any way we don't take him? I don't want the Jazz to draft Fredette with their NJ pick. However, I would die if we got Derrick Williams. Put him with Hayward and Favors and we might just have our "Big Three". They could easily be the most athletic 2-3-4 combo in the NBA. Fredette would be perfect to come off the bench behind Devin Harris. If we were to somehow get Williams, I might just be fine with Millsap returning to the 6th man role.

The Heat?

We would be right there with them. Derrick Favors is more athletic than Chris Bosh. Derrick Williams has unbelievable athletic potential. He might be up there with Lebron. Right now, Wade is probably more athletic than Hayward, but I think that Gordon has the potential to be a star player in the league. I know people will scoff at me, but Hayward reminds me of another Indiana small-school star that led his team to the National Championship Game: LARRY BIRD.

At this point I don't even care if the Jazz draft Jimmer with the #12. It will just be good to have the will they/won't they speculation behind us.

The Thunder?

Let's see.

SG: Gordon Hayward vs. Thabo Sefolosha

Um, Gordon by a mile.

SF: Derrick Williams vs. Kevin Durant

Right now, Durant. In the future? Probably a push.

PF: Derrick Favors vs. Serge Ibaka

Derrick Favors has the potential to be an all-league player. Ibaka? Not so much.

I'm still pretty enamored of Biyombo. It's the gambling-on-potential temptation in me but I almost want him more than anyone in this draft. I'm glad I'm not the GM - I don't think I'd have the guts to do it (unless his workouts inflated my confidence in him).

You conveniently left Westbrook off of that list which would hurt your argument. DWill2 vs. Durant is not a fair comparison. We are talking about one of the best in the NBA versus someone who hasn't played a game in the NBA.

I am more enamored with Kanter to be honest. He looks legit.

Try this one. The Clippers?

Hayward will never ever be as athletic as D Wade, Williams might be able to jump like LeBron but will not have the same speed, Favors beats Bosh.

Harden is more athletic than Hayward by far, D Will can be labeled more "athletic" than Durant, and Ibaka Favors is close.

Huh?

Based on potential Ibaka doesn't have the potential to be an all-league player?

Durant vs Dwill? Push? You're wrong. Durant is one of the top 3 players in the entire league. He's arguably the best athlete in basketball. You're grossly overrating Dwill. If he can be Luol Deng it would be a success.

Hayward vs Sel by a mile? ********. Sel is a fine player, far better defender than Hayward. Hayward isn't better than any of Thunder players by a mile. No, not even Nick Collison.

You conveniently left out Westbrook, who's probably the most athletic PG other than Rose.

And Harden is more athletic than any SG/SF we currently have.

You have absolutely not argument.

When someone says positions 2,3, & 4, that means Shooting Guard, Small Forward and Power Forward. FYI, Westbrook is a point guard.

When someone purposely disregards the other two positions because it makes his argument look weak, I tend to think they are being a little disingenuous. What other reason do they have for singling out 60% of a starting lineup to try to make a point?

Why not dream for the #1 and #2 picks? Is it because you are a Jimmerphile and would rather waste a later pick on him?
