Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I think he has maturity issues but I would draft him late first. He could be a very solid role player in the NBA.

Can't argue with a player that plays defense, has a 3 pt shot and is athletic.

My concerns are is I feel he will need to be a combo guard at the next level and his consistency. He needs shots to be accurate. Last year proved that as kennard and tatum took the shots and his effenciecy went down.

I think in the NBA his tripping will quickly be stopped my veteran players. That is a non factor for me.

A couple notes on the 2017 draft... OG Anunoby played for Chicago tonight. He's come back from his ACL injury.

Also, Antonio Blakeney whom I liked in the late 2nd round, appears to have made the Bulls roster. He was undrafted.

So maybe we draft Jared Vanderbilt and teach him to shoot. He has everything else -- size, length, handle, vision, passing, motor.

watched the intersquad scrimmages of Duke, Arizona and Kentucky.

First the UK game had no defense the other 2 they actually seemed to play a little defense

Kentucky

- Gabriel is this years briscoe. Good player but just not good enough.
- I loved to watch PJ Washington. If he was 6'9" we would be talking about him in the top 10
- Killeya- Jones is interesting but he is a center and is a below the rim player. Even slow footed at times
- Knox was outstanding and he should be in consideration as the next person off the board after the firt 5
- Diallo was spectacular and he is such a high flier. If he gets a jump shot wow he could be very good
- The coaches son made me laugh because didnt look like he bleong at all
- Richards is so raw but he has some talent
- Vanderbilt had a knee injury and did not play

Arizona

- Chase Jeter looks like some one that can hang around the NBA for a while. Not an all star but a nice role player
- Deandre Ayton is something special. One big red flag for me what the annoucers were talking about how Ayton has never lifter weights. I wonder if he is motivated enought to live upto his potential
- Akot kinda sucked but he is so young for this draft class
- Trier was fun to watch but I didnt like his demeanor on the court

Duke

- Allen looked like a role player but he is fun to watch
- Trent has a beautiful jumper
- Bolden looks a little better and not as lost
- Carter has some potential at the next level and should get a lot of looks in the lottery
- Bagley was super impressive he is the full package
- Duval if he gets a jump watch out because he is super athletic

After seeing a number 6'7" or 6'8" forwards that were effective in college, but haven't translated well to the pros (examples: Michael Beasley, Derrick Williams, Anthony Bennett, Julius Randle, Stanley Johnson to some degree, etc.), I'm nervous about a 6'8" mostly power wing who doesn't have elite length, elite shooting or elite athleticism. These players often just fade into the background. I have some of this concern with PJ Washington.

Killeya-Jones should be considered a long PF with range. He's not going to be big enough physically to play the 5, and he's mostly a finesse player. Again, a bit similar to Skal Labissiere.

but you cant base some one on height it is about playing style and Anthony Bennett is fat and had no work ethic same with Beasley but he is playing better now. I like Randle

This wasnt how they would fit on the Jazz just observations on the scrimages

Is there anyone superlong, ala Giannis, who is either a 3 or 4, and perhaps quite athletic, with certain skills evident (ie, dribbling) but superraw in other ways, specifically as a shooter I guess.

Miles Bridges is really long. He is a slow bloomer but has played with some very good players. This year sould be a do or die year for him as he should be the man.

Rui Hachimura is another that I really like. He should get a chance to really prove himself on Gonzaga this year.

Killian Tillie is just like Rui.

Aliza Johnson is interesting mid major that has a chance to shine

The one I like the most is Justin Jackson from Maryland. 6'7" 219 with an almost 7'4" wing spand and a 8'11" standing reach. Those are some impressive number. He also shot 44% from 3 on 3 attempts per game last year. He is also a very good defender.

I'd love to get Justin Jackson and play him at the 3, but I think we need someone a bit bigger and more explosive at the 4.

Miles Bridges isn't actually very long. I think his wing-span is pretty average. He's really athletic though.

This. Miles Bridges is not the type of guy I described. At all.
