Following Potential 2018 Draftees

We need a good stretch PF. Anyone out there fit the bill?

Well, it needs to be a stretch PF who can defend, rebound, attack close-outs and run pick-and-rolls ideally.

One of the best shooters is Dzanan Musa from Serbia, but he's skinny and more of a wing.
Jaren Jackson Jr. at Michigan State could be a slightly smaller version of Myles Turner, but I'm not sure how consistent his shooting is at this point.
A big wing like Justin Jackson from Maryland could potentially play at the 4, and he's a 40%+ 3-pt shooter.
Rodions Kurucs may be big enough to play at the 4 and is fairly versatile. He should be about 6'9", 220 lbs. I think he's better off playing at the 3 though.
Robert Williams and Chimezie Metu probably don't have 3-pt range, but they can shoot out to 20 feet.
Killian Tillie at Gonzaga is someone to watch, but I'm not sure he's strong and athletic enough to play starter minutes at the 4, and his skill level isn't quite where we need.
Rui Hachimura, also at Gonzaga, is more of a wing, but seems pretty skilled.
UK has a couple guys, PJ Washington and Jared Vanderbilt, to keep an eye on, but I'm not sure either is ideally a starting 4. Sacha Killeya-Jones could be a sleeper in the mold of a Skal Labissiere, though he needs to be much more assertive.
Another sleeper could be Javin DeLaurier, a sophomore at Duke. He needs to expand his range, but he might be capable of doing it.

The guy I like is Kevin Knox. I think he has the talent to be something close to Aaron Gordon if he'll work hard, but he should be out of our draft range.

If Marvin Bagley can shoot, or if Michael Porter Jr. can pack on 20 lbs, obviously those are top-shelf prospects.

Jaren Jackson Jr.'s debut with Michigan State. Had 8 blocks and seems to be moving really well. Seems as though he's ahead of where Myles Turner was at the start of his freshman year.

Note the dunk at 1:32.

Yeah, that huge competition of an exhibition game against Ferris State

Not sure if he's been brought up, but there is a kid from Germany named Isaac Bonga. He's only 17 and would take a while to develop, but he clearly has some great talent. I like his handles for his size and vision. I'm going to be following him. I bet he moves up the draftboards.

This is another kid I've watched videos on YouTube from time to time about, but he's 21 now and hasn't really developed into anything in Europe. Kid can attack the rim though.

I think the success of Ben Simmons will elevate the value of Bonga. Bonga is not as athletic but has a similar passing ability. Both players struggle shooting the ball but have decent handles.

Bonga needs to go to a team with good 3 point shooting, especially a shooting big, to help create space for his passing.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully Bonga's athleticism and shooting improve with age. He could be really fun to watch. Definitely gonna keep my eye on him.

HEre is a question for my friends here in the draft section ... let's say that the Jazz some how win the #1 pick who would you choose right now at #1?

Doncic
Bagley
Porter

Doncic is better than Bagley right now and i'm not sure its close. but i expect Bagley's improvement over the course of the season to be rapid. i would expect that by the end of the year i would take him #1 overall. if i had to choose right now without seeing Bagley over a full college season, it would be a lot tougher, but i still probably gamble on Bagley and hope like hell i'm right. Doncic is essentially bust proof, but the ceiling isn't what Bagley's is. I don't know enough about Porter. Give me this season, and i think i'll be a lot more confident.

I am leaning towards doncic but this team needs scoring so badly that I think I would take porter as he can score from any where and can play the 3 or the 4.
