What's new

Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors Tonight at 7pm MST 11/3/2017

I've never seen such a drastic difference between lucky/unlucky bounces by two teams.

Not much fun other than Mitchell. He's clearly our future.

I'm losing my patience with Hood. Dude was waaaay worse than his mediocre-to-bad boxscore indicates. I've been one of his biggest supporters around here.

I am so done with Hood. Who cares if we can sign him for cheap, we can play scrubs with no drop in play.

You sign him for cheap because he's a trade asset. Mitchell is the future starting 2, but losing assets for nothing absolutely kills your ability to build the team.

It was always going to be a stretch for Hood to take over as the go-to guy offensively.

I'm not too upset about it though, since we have Mitchell.

I think he's thinking too much and not playing as instinctual. He knows he should be getting to the basket more and attack more but that hasn't ever been his game.

He has gotten noticeably more frustrated this year. That is the 2nd time this year he has committed an offensive foul out of rage in response to not getting a call.

Hood: 17 points on 19 shots, 3 turnovers
Mitchell: 25 points on 20 shots, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 0 turnovers

Yeah, but Snyder needs to accept Hood for what he is, and forget about turning him into the next Haywood.

I agree with CY(other than last night when he was just wrong) that Hood isn't taking enough 3s. That's because they're trying to turn him into a guy who can penetrate and score. The thing that sucks is he's absolutely capable of getting good looks on penetration, but for some reason doesn't have much touch on those little 5 footers. If he ever did, he'd be a pretty deadly scorer, so I understand why they wanted to try and go in that direction.

For now he needs to be bombing away from 3 land. Same with Jingles. The team as a whole is passing on too many open 3s. I'd like to see Quin make a conscious effort to get the ball to anyone who drains one, and see if they can hit several in a row.

A tough lost tonight but DMitch brought his A-game again. As for Hood, it's been strange watching like this and I think it is best to trade him before the deadline comes around. He'll most likely sign an offer sheet with another team and the Jazz would forced to match it, just like Haywood.

u know hoods already better than hayward in his 4th season?

hayward looked like this when he was given the go ahead.

I think Hood needs another year to really be evaluated. he's a good player. Today he just had some serious bone head decisions.
