What's new

Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs -- Feb 3, 7pm MST

I'm torn on this.
Do you really think this version of Rubio is the future?

His shooting averages won't be insane every night. But I think we'll see a lot of double double or near double double nights. 10-15 points, 8-10 assists plus around 5 rebounds. Assuming Hood is traded anyway. If Hood stays and Rubio is moved back to being more of an off ball player then he'll probably struggle again.

Remember when hood was the steal of that draft. I think he moves on to success. That would make me sad.

don't take the word cancer as literal man, but he shuts down our offense and we get our of sync when he jacks up and forces shots etc you are a smart guy so you know and see this.
He doesnt really. Our offense has been bad and we have needed him to take a lot of shots. Today the offense was good and he played within the offense and didnt try to force himself into anything. It's not like we were some well oiled machine and Hood ****ed everything up. I don't think his absence in any way propelled the team. The improvement is more about Rubio and Rudy.

I mean, we might be on a 8 game win streak if he never goes down. He was playing great in the Knicks game we lost by two points because he couldnt play the 4th quarter.

Part of being a "smart guy" in basketball is not be reactive to and to think about context with everything.

I knew when O'Neale got his tooth knocked out in a pre-season game, walked it back to the bench, dropped it off, then walked back on the floor that he was a keeper. That dude is the anti-Hood. I like Hood, but O'Neale could be something special.

You are seasoned, no doubt. I have you played ball before ? I played College ball even played against M-Long here In Canada.

He does struggle when he’s pressing too hard to take on a bigger role than he should. With the Rubio/Mitchell starting lineup clearly working, I’m hoping that he’ll just chill and settle into his 6th man role. Play within the offense and focus on opportunistic basketball. Exactly what I’ve been hoping from Burks for a few years now tbh.

Nice win.

I guess my ideal situation is to finish strong and I’m torn on whether I want the 13th pick and to just miss out on the playoffs or to make it (for the experience) and have our doors blown in by the Dubs.
