Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I love Simons but after scoring what does he offer? I think he can be a player but would spend a lot of time with the stars his first few years.

As long as he’s not a turnstile, Jazz need scorers. I love his upside. Just like Tony Bradley, it’s worth burning a few years to develop a kid like that in the G-league and in practice before you need him. If he cracks the rotation before year three. . . Even better.

Based on what? Walker is my pick if Utah ends up around 14/15. Go ahead and tell us they will pick instead.

I don't really like many players past 10 this year, they are settle picks. Simons is one high potential player past 10 he might go for. Overall I think DL will try like hell to move up for Mikal Bridges or may trade the pick.

Alright, explain the love for me Cy, I see an athletic guard with good size, but a meh-shooter who's nothing special as a passer. Why should I be excited about an athlete with injury concerns in the mid first round?
Uhh, he is a good shooter and a good passer. Really good athlete who can attack the rim. Huge wingspan, nice body. Can get his own shot. Tries on D. Really complete player in my eyes.

He's played every game this year so idk about what injury concerns he has. He is a late lottery pick who could be a top 10 player by the end of the year.

Why dont people like Troy Brown? Good size and a big wingspan. Not a very good athlete or shooter, but I think his shot is workable. Really smart player. Probably the most Joe Ingles player in the draft.

I dont get anyone downplaying this draft. The lottery might not be as deep, but this draft is (potentially) extremely deep in wing players who can play.

Tore his meniscus and had surgery on it last spring, main reason he was eased into the season off the bench.

Good shooter? Walker is a passable shooter, if he's a good shooter than almost any guard in the draft is a good shooter (minus Duval/Diallo, lol). He could become a good shooter, but he's not there yet.

I certainly agree he's big and strong (looks like mini-Butler physically).

So in comparison to Shamet/Milton he's stronger/more explosive (significantly so over Shamet, closer for Milton) and far younger (19.3 vs 20.11 vs 21.5). Maybe a bit better defender, but the other two certainly get after it as well. The other two are even ever so slightly longer, more skilled/experienced ballhandlers/distributors, and clearly better shooters. I'm not seeing the huge edge for Walker here that everyone seems to have.

My knock on Brown is he plays below the rim. He is not very explosive. He also has an above average wing span 6'11' on a 6'8" player.

I do like him and wouldn't cry if the Jazz draft him but every time i watched him i came away underwhelmed with his athletiscm

Brown is a smooth athlete rather than explosive, but yeah, he doesn't elevate without some runway. I think his shooting will come together. A lot of players learn to shoot once they get in the league and work on it every day. I think he goes late teens. He'll probably do draft workouts against Chandler Hutchinson.

Uhh, not really. 6'11 wingspan on a 3 isnt average. He is closer to 6'6 than 6'8 too.

I am not a fan of players from Duke in general but Gary Trent Jr might be a nice fit

I am hope Jarred Vanderbilt plays into our range

Trevon Duval might be a nice fit with Mitchell at the 2 except he cant shoot either

I am hot and cold on Simons I love his offense but can he play defense

Diallo has a lot of tool to be very good especially defensively

Bruce Brown would make one of the best defensive back courts in basketball with Mitchell. I don't know what happened to his shooting though

SGA has combo guard potential but I like Exum more.

If Justin Jackson declares I would look at him late first early second
