Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

They are 26-13 at home and 19-20 on the road. Don't over think it, they want home court if they can get it.

And this

Considering that the Jazz oddly play a lot better on the road, I don't particularly want home court.
Hmm, thinking back on what I was told as a teenager by my bishop -- a half-century ago -- perhaps the Ladies should show a little less "affection" for the boys when they come home? Dudes look lethargic and complacent at the start of home games.

Just saying.

If we win our next three and Portland loses two of their next three then the last game of the season is for the 3 seed.
Give me the 3 seed and new Orleans the 6th seed please.

I think Jazz would be favored in any one of Wolves (even with Butler)/Pelicans/Nuggets/Clippers series, especially with homecourt. Blazers/Spurs/Thunder would be tough, I'm hoping the Rockets and Warriors draw Spurs and Thunder.

All I know is that of their five losses since January (WTF?!), four have been at home. They are also barely winning against the league's worst teams at home (Dallas, Sacramento, Memphis, Lakers) and blowing out playoff teams on the road.

I wouldn't take much solace in the idea that they are just being lazy at home but I guess that's the best-case scenario.

C'mon wolves eh? Take da 5 seed. I ain't wantin ta play tha Popovich in tha first round nome sayin? They gittin Kawhi back an that gots me drinkin big ole jugs a whine an lissinen ta some good ole jazz vinyls ta calm my nerves.

Just give us the pelicans. I figure we beat them in 5 or 6 games.

Right now the Jazz aren't really playing very well. Probably would've lost to Griz if they had played Gasol in the 4th, barely beat a depleted Lakers -- both of those at home, lost to a depleted Celtics team. They can't seem to stop the 3-point shot when you come down to it. Rudy is a great rim protector but when teams start draining 3's, Rudy becomes a liability. You saw what happened against the Celtics. They really could use Thabo right now.

Jazz are just over-helping on rotations, and it's giving up wide-open threes to teams-- Quin talked about it last night, it's a trend that goes all the way back to the Atlanta game. I imagine there's a ton of film that Quin will be going through with his players before our upcoming 4 game stretch.

And let's be honest-- this stretch is a bit of a doozie. Clippers-Lakers-Warriors-Trailblazers.

It's within the realms of possibility that we go 0-4, though I highly doubt it. Going 4-0 seems reallyyy unlikely too. I hope we go 3-1 and maintain homecourt advantage, but it'll be an exciting finish no matter what happens.

If I had to rank opponents I least-want-to-see in the playoffs, it would rank
1) Warriors (unless it's round I w/o Steph) 2) Rockets 3) Thunder 4) Trailblazers 5) Timberwolves 6) Pelicans 7) Spurs 8) Nuggets

So magic number to clinch is 2 now? Either 2 wins by Jazz or 2 losses by Nuggets clinch it for us
Jazz aren’t in the clear yet. Take care of business. Win a couple more games and then worry about playoff matchups. Nuggets aren’t going anywhere, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they sneak in as the 8th seed. Don’t want to see that happen at the Jazz expense. Getting to the playoffs is a hell of an accomplishment at this point. I think it’s really important for Rudy and Donovan to get some postseason experience (and hopefully success) to help launch the Jazz as a top 5 team in the NBA.

Do people not understand how terrible San Antonio is on the road this year? Jazz would feast on their overrated corpse.
