Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I'm not a Donte fan. I would like him if I were a team drafting in the early 2nd or maybe even late first, but he is pretty undersized as a 2-guard. Only a 6'6 wingspan with a 8'1 standing reach. Yeah, he does seem like a nice athlete, but he can only guard 2 positions at most. Can he guard starting NBA PG's? I dont know. Love his shot though and he does play hard.

There are a ton of unknowns. The first round of workouts should be interesting.

Still want to see us trade up somehow. Udoh, Jerekbo and #21 for Bayless and #10 would be a cheeky move. Philly would have $7 more million to spend this summer. Taking Gortat could be good too. Maybe enough to move up 6 spots.

It'll cost way more than that to get #10

Please dont start this again.

Who's the Donte DiVincenzo Hype Train conductor?

Not sure if he's hinting that the Jazz are interested "at" 21, or if he just meant that he could be gone in the 20s. People are saying him and Jerome Robinson are first round risers. As a BC alumnus, I hope Robinson is good. Need some positive attention for BC since the basketball program is **** compared to all the ACC powerhouses lol. My guy Olivier Hanlan let me down. I thought for sure he would make an NBA roster.

I am the conductor... he’s one of the 50 guys in my top 15.

Mike Schmidtz said KBD could go as high as the Knicks pick, so I wouldnt hold my breath for him being available at 21.

Damn... well someone will have to slide down... I’m the only one that can have 50 guys in the top 15.

Shamet was really a surprise on the vertical at 39.5" max. His wingspan came up about 4" shorter than expected though.

Looking at various mock drafts and reading the buzz around prospects on Twitter it seems like this draft shapes up really well for the Jazz. Lots of combo guards and wings should be available in the 15-40 range. A few hybrid forwards/possible stretch 4's too. The Jazz shouldn't have very much trouble identifying multiple prospects that can help our team going forward. I think we're sitting in a pretty good spot at 21.

I think so too, but he could have dodged the question. He was clear - I'm not sure if I'm playing in the NBA next year. Most guys as hyped as him have been pretty clear to their Euro team and fan base that they are coming when they are intending to come. While I agree he's probably coming, this was poor timing on his part. Could cost him millions if he dropped a couple spots.
Dude, its pretty clear what he means. He doesn't want to go to the Kings.

Except it's not clear:

Also, here's more information from a Slovenian user on RealGM from their media

Since there is so many joke writings in this topic, I will give you some coments for Slovenia media from yesterday evening. Talking about Suns and Sacramento:

https://ekipa.svet24.si/clanek/kosa...cramento-takole-je-kokoskov-in-bogdanovic-sta

- on Wednesday morning first thing he checked, which three teams won the lottery;
- immediately he sent message to Kokoskov and congratulate him;
- Luka said it is clear that it would be clearly the easiest transformation for him if he would have Kokoskov as his first coach in NBA;
- immedately after the lottery he also received message from Bogdanovic, that they will maybe become teammates. He like that idea;
- he is in regular contact with Kokoskov, even now after the lottery. He is special coach for him.

So just to finish with this funny discussion:
- until he finish season with Real, he won't say anything about how he will go to NBA next season. But everybody know, he will go. Even his coach Pablo Laso said this week, that he have only one wish regarding Luka. That Luka bring to Real Euroleague Championship this weekend;
- He clearly prefer going to Phoenix because of Kokoškov;
- but he don't have any problems with alternative in Sacramento, because he would feel familiar with so many Serbians in the organisation;

It was a simple deflection to a question that if answered in any other way would create a ton of distractions for him and his team the day before the most important games of the season for his team. Now that's not to say that he might not have preferences, but so far I see absolutely nothing to warrant the assumption that he's avoiding the Kings or any other team or that he won't come play next year if drafted by certain teams...
