Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Gary Trent Jr. -- almost no one is talking about this guy.

I just think that if Bradley Beal or Devin Booker played like this in a summer league game or combine scrimmage, people would be using it to affirm their opinion that these guys are lottery talent. This really does seem to be an exceptionally good draft.

He is another guy I like. He would be a great backup PG/SG. He could play with Exum or O'neile.

I'm close to concluding that Exum should bulk up and play on the wing in a 3/D role. His handle is loose, and he still won't shoot off the bounce or from mid-range.

There a lot of guys I like at #21 and this is a year where I wish the Jazz had another pick either high 2nd round or lower first round. Jazz need to improve their bench and with the possibility of Exum and Favors leaving they need to hit another home run in the draft.

I freely admit I am irrational at this time of the year. I could see our picks being all-star in reality if we get a contributor it will be a good draft.

Donte Divincenzo looks like a spot-up shooter, albeit a good one. He doesn't seem to have a very advanced or diverse offensive game. He's solid in a number of areas, but he looks like a back-up to me.

Can he create his own space or beat a defender?

Can he lock down on defense?

Can he run a pick-and-role?

If you're watching the WCF, Keita Bates-Diop would be about the same size and wingspan as Kevon Looney, but is much more skilled.

I think Kevin Huerter is a better prospect than DiVincenzo at this stage. More versatile shooter, better passer.

Well without seeing him against NBA players it is hard to tell, but with his peers I would say Yes to two of your questions and a maybe on the defense. Personally, few players are lock down defenders. Can he stay will his guy and keep him in front of him. It seems like he can.

Again most players in his range has flaws but what he does well the Jazz need. He can shoot the three both pull up and off a screen. I've seen him run the Pick and roll so I think he has the ability to do so. He seems to get past guys too. He would be an upgrade to Neto in my opinion and could play along side Exum as a combo guard sharing PG duties.

I think Huerter is better than a lot of guys and a case could be made he should go as high as later lottery if he stays in. Just my opinion.
