And yet everyday I see threads on this website acting as if mirotic won’t? He’s a chucker who plays zero defense
 
Mixed feelings here. I suffer from Lebron fatigue but cant stand hearing how great Bostons coach is for coaching 6 lottery picks to wins in the east.

Part of me wanted Biston to win it all without That injured player.

I think Cleveland’s stars are aging and played out.

Hill looked worse and worse I thought as the season dragged on even last year.

Korver played with Iverson in Philly. That’s a long time ago.

Love is getting older.

I thomas looked bad even in Los Angeles.

After seeing the homes crowder built this postseason, I can see why Lue didn’t give him a long leash and put up With his chucking.

JR Smith and Thompson are what they are. They’ve maxed out.

Larry nance is basically jeremy Evans.

And hood is a *****.

What if Boston could go out and get an all-star caliber PG and another wing who averaged 20 pts/per with his previous team?

How about internal development from Philadelphia, the addition of a top-10 pick and $30m+ in cap space?

Meanwhile, Cleveland is already in the tax even if they don't re-sign Hood (assuming James returns). Cavs have had a nice run, but I think GS and Houston are superior. I think Cavs are 3rd or 4th seed next year and don't make it past the 2nd round.

Not exactly, no. There's a difference between seeing something in a college or high school player and bringing them up through your system and paying big money for a hired gun that's already won championships for two other teams. It's just hard for me to get excited for that, sorry. It's not the way I want to win.

It would be a great feather in Lebron's cap, no doubt. I'm not as down on Hayward as others in this forum, but one thing that bothered me was the talk of going to "a team with a winning tradition." Wouldn't winning a championship for a team that's not had one despite having two of the best players of all time be a much better accomplishment than earning yet another trophy for Boston, the team that has the most in the NBA?
 
Jayson Tatum is going to be a superstar. I'd already take him over Hayward. I wonder how they're going to coexist? Seems like you have to give up one or the other eventually. At what point does Hayward regret signing with Boston lol.

Does that also apply to trades? Not sure how old you are, but would you have stopped being a fan of the Stockton/Malone teams because Utah traded for Hornacek?

How about now...are you not a fan because Lindsey went out and signed Rubio?

Very few teams are primarily organic. Even SA, which has drafted extremely well, still has supplemented their stars with key acquisitions. GS, Houston, OKC, Boston, Toronto, Cleveland: all those teams added at least one of their stars via trade or free agency.

Name the last three teams who have won championships by doing what you’re advocating. Heck, just name the last one team who won a championship without major signings or trades, complete organic and through the draft. Go!

There is enough playing time for three wings. I think you go to a three wing line-up for the first 6 mins of the 1st and 3rd and then sub out a true PF for one of the wings. To close games, it just depends on the opposition. Brown may be the casualty down the line, but that's a decision for the future. And he'd likely net a pretty good return if/when he's traded.

Never. Hayward/Irving/Tatum are their big 3.

This isn’t a bad problem to have. If they Hayward comes back and plays well They could trade Hayward for the missing pieces (if there are any missing pieces). Or keep him and kick ***.

Due to Hayward’s ability to defend the 2, they could create some pretty fun lineups. Irving, Hayward, Tatum... Irving, brown, Tatum... brown, Hayward, Tatum... seeing how there aren’t any good 4s anymore, they could probably even go with horford, Tatum, Hayward, brown, and Irving and put super pressure on defenses without compromising much on defense or rebounding. This is basically what Houston and golden state already do. Their 2s and 3s play 3s and 4s. The power forward today is essentially a SF/SG.

Lebron won’t be on the cavs doe. Cavs won’t even make the playoffs next year
