Pre-draft workouts

Yeah, it definitely wasnt inspiring. He could be a sleeper though. He has really high level athletic ability, a strong frame for his size, and long arms. Is Sexton really that much better than him?
Physically, athletically and Pg skill wise besides shooting he's top 5 material- much better prospect than Sexton. But the shooting is a big deal. So edge has to go to Sexton. But as a 2nd round guy, sign me up- could be a major steal.

****, I wouldn't say top material at all. He is still on the smaller size of PG's, he just a long-small PG.

I don't know but if you have an average wingspan then the best kind of defender could be is just above average, not elite.

Jimmy Butler has a 7 foot wingspan and is 6'8" tall.

Dzanan Musa has a 6'8.5 wingspan and is 6'9" tall.

I think Butler is a above average wingspan. And maybe Musa is below average. What do you think?

Another great workout it seems for Sunday...

De'Anthony Melton, Dzenan Musa and Jacob Evans. I wonder who the other 3 are.

If they do feel that good about this many players should see if anyone is selling their pick 22-30. Get two darts to throw.

I’ve been on this train for a few weeks.

Being a good defender is more about moving your feet and being able to stay in front of your defender than it is wingspan. Its being able to mirror his moves without fouling and not letting him get by you. The big wingspan helps for sure, but it doesn't mean **** if you suck at staying in front of your man. Even if you get a couple steals and couple blocks because of your wingspan, it still doesnt beat staying in front of your guy. The whole defense breaks down when you cant do it. Obviously you cant do it every time, but at what percentage can you and in what situations.

So I can see a guy being a good defender without the above average wingspan.

Both Perrin and DL said today that usually there are 6-8 players in consideration at our pick, but this time there are "at least double that". This means:

1. that we will have a good choice of players at 21
2. I wouldn't be surprised if we either trade back in order to get two picks in the range that encapsulates those 12-15 players we might like(something like 21 for 26+38 from Philly or 21 for 30 and 34 and future second from Atlanta)... OR we might try to trade up in the second round or buy a second round pick in the early 30s.

I wouldn't be surprised either. We may key in on one or two guys, and if they aren't their we fall back and go to "plan B". I don't have a problem with that. We've always drafted so well late in the draft I
have faith we'll find some nice players.

Hopefully it's not the trading back option and missing out on a real talent.
