Well this season is a wrap... I would think if the Lakers had ponied up 15-16M he would have gone there for a year.

Let's see how strong the Boogie Cancer is ... can it infect a dynasty.
 
Remember when the nba was competitive? As a jazz fan kinda takes some of the fun out of being a fan. How are the jazz or anyone supposed to beat the warriors now in a 7 game series?

Like I was saying before, this is why I hate the West sometimes. Players going to really good teams for cheap just to get a lousy easy ring.
 
Tbh - what did everyone expect from Cousins?

If teams were worried about his injury, the number of teams with cap space to pay more than the MLE is severely limited.

After that, he has to decide between taking a max MLE offer of $8.6 million from a team with less star power and endorsement strength or chasing a ring for a $3 million haircut and betting on himself to get a better deal next year after cap space opens up again.

I’m not surprised, other than I thought he’d stay with New Orleans and they’d offer him something similar to what Favors got.
 
The way the nba is going, small markets are going to die out. They can’t compete in today’s nba where stars are just throwing in the towel making super teams. **** u LeBron!!!!!

Yup... that's the BS part... that makes this hopeless. They get all the ring chasers on exceptions. Unique circumstances keep happening that continue to screw small markets.
 
Here is the problem - why does GS even have $5+ million to spend? They should have nothing more than $1.5 million contracts once they are over the luxury.

It's so stupid. If you are under the cap, you get the same exception as if you are over the luxury. So ****ing dumb.

Nba needs to put player levels on different pay scales. If you’re stats are a certain level you can’t pay less then a certain amount or something for **** sakes

Owners and GMs have completely lost control of the league. One minute players demand the max because they think they can make a team a contender, next they are taking discounts or minimum deals so they can be carried to a Championship. Teams can't control their own destiny.
