Sidenote - I was watching the game with my 4 year old son who pointed at Lonnie Walker and said "he has hair like Groot."

I don't watch college basketball so this was the first time I saw GA play. He looks like a mature kid, doesn't he? I was most impressed with his decision making. He prepares to jump-shoot but notices an open teammate and passes him the ball immediately.. this happened a number of times. Might he be a better passer than advertised?
He shot poorly and got blocked a few times. I'm not worried about jump shooting as his shooting mechanics look smooth but those blocks were ugly.
Overall I'm happy.. not saying he's a good pick yet but more than 10k fans came to watch him and everyone is talking about the dude already so people probably know something.

Watching the game, and watching Allen, I thought he reminded me of Tyler Johnson. Even though he didn’t shoot well, I thought he looked good and competed well doing a little bit of everything for this team. Other then the poor shooting, He far exceeded my expectations for him. He missed some open shots, probably nerves. He easily could’ve had 20+ to go along with his 7-8 rebounds and assists, or whatever it was. I just pray to god he can hit his jump shot a little more consistently then Hood did.

Relax. Lol. Allen looked very good, I know he didn’t shoot well, but I blame his nerves being his first game and all. He’ll be a pretty good player no doubt. He did nothing but make good plays up and down the court and got people open looks and was active.
