I was about to write "unbelievable". Silly me. Of course he's going to mock Dr. Ford. Oh, and Democrats are "evil". He should take to calling them the enemy of the people, and get his fascism over with already.

Haven’t all trumps enemies called him pretty much the harbinger of the apocalypse and called to resist by any means necessary ??

If he was a fascist she wouldn’t be allowed to make any comments / statements ??

The longer his farce goes on it seems more and more obvious to be a political exercise primary. This woman is a victim as is common decency and due process

Im glad that stuff i did from the time i was around 16 years old until my later 20’s doesnt get dug up and blasted all over the media.

I did some pretty horrible **** in my day. Though i never raped anyone. At least there is that.

My list of regretful things i did would be very long.
If someone ever does accuse you of rape how do you feel about those posters here who say she ought to be believed?

I just read this. How much of this is true and how much is bs?

"Here's what I learned from listening to the hearings from Ford and Kavanaugh:
1) Ms. Ford stated she did not come forward for political reasons and has not been paid to come forward. Fact check: There are 3 known GoFundMe accounts in her name totalling nearly $1,000,000 dollars. She does not plan to return the money, nor has she told people not to send money.
2) She testified that she and her husband went to a therapist in 2012 while remodeling their home. They were arguing over installing a 2nd front door which she stated under oath, that she wanted as an escape route. Fact check: A check of Palo Alto building permit records show the 2nd door was installed in 2008. The record states the 2nd door was added as a separate entrance for a rental unit being developed in the home.
3) She doesn't know or remember how she got to the party. No one has come forward to take credit for taking her to the party.
4) She doesn't know or remember how she got home which was 8 miles away. No one has come forward to take credit for taking her home.
5) She doesn't know or remember when the party was.
6) She doesn't know or remember where the party was.
7) She said she does remember it was Kavanaugh.
She was sketchy on how many people were at the party.
9) She was 15 years old, at a party without adult supervision and without her parents knowledge, drinking illegally.
10) She said she was so upset that she was almost raped that she fled the party, leaving her best friend behind with these almost rapists.
11) She said she heard people talking about her at the party after the incident. She doesn't know or remember what they were saying. Questions: How did she hear them talking about her if she fled the house? How does she know they were talking about her if she doesn't know or remember what they were saying?
12) All of the witnesses that she named have provided statements saying it never happened, and also vouched for the good character of Kavenaugh.
13) Ford said she called her friends on her cell phone when she got home to tell them what had happened. She stated the party was in 1982. Fact check: The first cell phone was not available for sale until 1984.
14) Feinstein was deceptive and violated the rules of the judiciary committee by keeping the letter secret from the chairman and other committee members for 60 days. She never questioned Kavanaugh about it when she met with him before the confirmation hearings.
15) Someone leaked the letter to the press. The only people who had the letter were Ford, her lawyer, Feinstein, and the Democratic Senator from her state. Feinstein became very flustered and could not be sure if her office leaked the letter. Her reaction to the question seemed very suspicious. She turned to ask her staff member who was present, if her office had given the letter to the press.
16) Ford was never told by Feinstein or her lawyer that the Senators on the judiciary commitee would come to her for her statement or that it could have been done in private. Ford, her lawyer, and Feinstein decided her statement should be given publicly.
17) Ford stated the reason she did not want to come and provide a statement earlier was because she has a fear of flying. However, she has taken many trips where she traveled by air to Hawaii, Tahiti, etc. She also flew to Delaware where she had been hiding out since the letter was leaked. Why did she not just drive from Delaware to meet with the commitee? She doesn't know who paid for the airline ticket to Delaware.
18) Even though she said she wanted to remain anonymous, she hired a lawyer and took a polygraph test the first week of August, less than two weeks after sending the letter. The polygraph test consisted of two questions. She doesn't know who ordered or paid for the polygraph.
19) She deleted her Facebook and Twitter social media accounts before sending the letter.
20) Her attorney claims to be handling the Ford case pro bono but was hired by Feinstein.
21) Kavanaugh was very passionate in his denial, as anyone would be under a false accusation that is destroying his reputation, his family and children, and his career.
22) He likes beer and drank in high school at the legal age of 18.
23) He graduated top in his class, played basketball and football.
24) He recorded his scheduled activities in a caledar. His father preserved these calendars along with other school memorabilia such as trophies, essays, etc. in their attic.
25) The Republicans questioning Ford were respectful.
26)The Democrats were not respectful of Kavanaugh and didn't really ask any questions other than to try to get him to ask for an FBI investigation.
Summary and observations: After reviewing the testemony provided by both, I have personally come to the following conclusions based on evidence and observations:
1) I think both statements were presented in a believable manner, but the burden of proof is on the accuser, and that didn't happen.
2) I have a problem with Ms. Ford's credibility due to the contradiction of having 3 GoGundMe accounts with no plans to return the money. I had a problem with her statement that she was so distressed that she needed an extra door installed during a 2012 renovation on her home when it was actually installed in 2008 for a rental unit being prepared. I have a problem believing her statement that she has a fear of flying when in fact she had flown many, many times. I felt suspicious that something incriminating was in her social media leading her to delete her Facebook and Twitter accounts.
3) She admitted to being deceitful to her parents who did not know she was at a party without adult supervision.
4) Her behavior leading up to the hearing appears to be staged and calculated. She appears to have been coached.
5) Kavenaugh had his parents, his wife, and many friends at the hearing in support of him.
6)There was not a single family member or friend at the hearings in support of Ford. Where was her husband or the beach friends she claims gave her advice and encouraged her to come forward. The friends whom she has named as witnesses claim the incident never happened.
7) Kavanaugh has been vetted by the FBI six different times and not one thing has ever come up. Ford has only been asked two questions on a non admissible polygraph.
8 I believe something happened to Ford, but I don't believe Kavanaugh did it.
9) I believe that Kavanaugh's display of righteous anger is a justified response to this serious accusation.
10) I believe Feinstein and the Democrats are using mentally weak Ford as a political pawn.
11) The Democrats have stated they will go to any length to not lose this seat on the Supreme Court because this confirmation will change the Supreme Court for the next generation. This tells me that Democrats are even willing to assassinate the good character of an innocent person and destroy a family for political reasons in order to accomplish their goal.
12) Democrats have stated they are going to keep trying to delay the confirmation until after the midterms.

Based on these facts and observations, I feel certain Judge Kavenaugh is innocent of this accusation. If I were on the judiciary commitee, I would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh, not for political reasons, but because he most definitely qualified."

Author: Unknown

I regards to the last sentence: being qualified shouldnt be all that matters imo. If he is qualified but you think he wont do a good job at being a supreme court judge then i dont think you should vote to confirm. Just my opinion.

If he was a fascist she wouldn’t be allowed to make any comments / statements ??

Trump can be a fascist but he still cant control what people say, though im sure he wishes he could.

If someone ever does accuse you of rape how do you feel about those posters here who say she ought to be believed?

Well of course I (being the accused in this hypothetical) would feel that those posters are wrong.

You could probably ask a similar question to a victim of rape who accused someone and the rapist never had any consequences for the rape.

Both sides are like totally equal...

Republicans on this board, are you really going to accept this? Well, I guess you’ve accepted “boofing” for 2 years anyway so this is probably just another stupid thing that your president does and what you’ll excuse. Unbelievable

He's been alienating college educated white women all along. Things like this only increases the % of educated white women who will vote Democrat. But that is not the case with non college educated white women. They still back Trump by a slight majority.

Fascists don’t necessarily shut everyone up immediately. It took Hitler a few years to get to point where the Enabling Acts were passed, Reighstag abolished, T4 program developed, and concentration camps built.

But the populist/fascist seeds are there. Trump has:

* Declared himself the sole fixer of everything.
* Bypasses congress via executive order/intimidation. Is there really any point in having congress right now? They don’t hold him accountable for anything. Of course, that could change if K is denied...
* Declared himself and his media the sole source of truth. Everyone else is the “enemy of the people.”
* Racism exploited, x-type of person isn’t a “real citizen.” Hispanic children have already been put into cages. It’s not hard to imagine in a few years something worse happening and his mindless base defending it.
* Empowered big business through deregulation and tax cut bribes.
* Declared opponents illegitimate. Why hasn’t he imprisoned Hillary yet? But again, most fascists don’t move immediately to this, but gradually.

So perhaps calling him fascist right now is premature? Maybe he’s just too dumb to carry out fascism and is a massive populist troll? Or maybe he’s just a populist demagogue like the dozen we see throughout Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe right now?

Does anyone want to see how it plays out? I certainly don’t. I want his *** out ASAP and sanity restored in our government. Hopefully the blue wave this November takes care of that.

Yes good point. I’m just making fun of those who still claim no difference between the two parties and who will somehow still blame democrats for Trump’s completely absurd, cruel, and inappropriate comments. But such is life. Partisan hacks gotta do their thing

I resorted to the "fascism" label out of anger after watching that portion of his rally last night. He has already referred to the media, the 4th estate, the watchdogs in our democracy, as the enemy of the people. Labeling the Democrats as "evil", he might as well label one of our two major parties the same way.

Of course I would always oppose a "leader" who uses this kind of rhetoric toward people who do not support him. Words matter. A President should not be consciously working to increase divisiveness by using such rhetoric. As well, by earlier in the day lamenting that it's a "dangerous world" for men, because they can be falsely accused by women, and by here, in a rally, ridiculing a woman who was the victim of sexual assault, he is basically supporting the notion that this is a war between men and women.

We are living in an age when women are becoming more empowered. It was only less then 100 years ago that women were finally allowed to vote in our democracy. JMO, but we should be encouraging the empowerment of women, not ridiculing those who have been victimized and afraid to even reveal that victimization. He is representing the past, rejecting trends that are a part of our future. And his words matter. He is our president. By declaring men are the victims, as he did twice yesterday, once on the White House lawn, and here at this rally, he has basically said he stands for our past. I can only imagine the reaction of many men 100 years ago when faced with the horror of allowing women to vote in our democracy. Reactionary. As always, and right from the start, he has stood as a reactionary. I believe History will so judge the man, the most openly divisive president in modern history.

But, using the label fascism does not help my cause, since it immediately elicits the same response as if I were to compare him to Hitler. At the same time, words matter and calling Democrats "evil people" and our free press "the enemy of the people", only increases the obvious likelihood that significant numbers of my fellow citizens will actually believe he is speaking the truth by attaching such labels to an opposition party and our free press. As Thomas Jefferson once said, paraphrasing, when a leader attacks a free press, you are hearing the words of a dictator. And no, we are not there yet, but his words divide us. That's wrong, and it needs to be condemned in the strongest possible terms. If he sets the tone in the fashion he does, then it is he who is the enemy of our democratic institutions. Call it what you will, that's how I call it. The enemy of our democratic institutions. How much damage he will evenually inflict remains to be seen.

Short version. Of course, in classic Archie Moses style, you'll deny any responsibility for the contents of what you post. You're just not capable of doing your own research. 3), 5) through 10)

Accurate.

4) She doesn't know or remember how she got home which was 8 miles away. No one has come forward to take credit for taking her home.

The entire city they lived in is only five miles across.

11) She said she heard people talking about her at the party after the incident. She doesn't know or remember what they were saying. Questions: How did she hear them talking about her if she fled the house? How does she know they were talking about her if she doesn't know or remember what they were saying?

She locked herself in the bathroom before she fled the house, and overheard conversations in there.

12) All of the witnesses that she named have provided statements saying it never happened, and also vouched for the good character of Kavenaugh.

None of the witnesses have claimed it never happened, they say they don't remember that night.

13) Ford said she called her friends on her cell phone when she got home to tell them what had happened. She stated the party was in 1982. Fact check: The first cell phone was not available for sale until 1984.

Ford never claimed to use a cell phone.

14) Feinstein was deceptive and violated the rules of the judiciary committee by keeping the letter secret from the chairman and other committee members for 60 days. She never questioned Kavanaugh about it when she met with him before the confirmation hearings.

Deceptive, maybe (there is such a thing as respecting privacy). At any rate, who cares? Why is Feinstein's behavior relevant here?

15) Someone leaked the letter to the press. The only people who had the letter were Ford, her lawyer, Feinstein, and the Democratic Senator from her state.

Incorrect. Besides, Feinstein *is* a Democratic Senator from Ford's state. The paper that published the letter confirmed it did not come from Feinstein's office.

16), 17), 18), 19), 23), 24)

So?

20) Her attorney claims to be handling the Ford case pro bono but was hired by Feinstein.

Any reason both can't be true?

21) Kavanaugh was very passionate in his denial, as anyone would be under a false accusation that is destroying his reputation, his family and children, and his career.

As anyone would be facing a true charge that would deny him a seat on SCOTUS that he felt belonged to him. Works both ways.

22) He likes beer and drank in high school at the legal age of 18.

False. By the time Kavanaugh turned 18, it was illegal for 18-year-olds to drink, and Kavanaugh drank before he was 18.

25) The Republicans questioning Ford were respectful.

The Republicans hired a prosecutor to question Ford. They were absent.

26)The Democrats were not respectful of Kavanaugh and didn't really ask any questions other than to try to get him to ask for an FBI investigation.

Anyone who saw the interview knows this is a lie.

1) I think both statements were presented in a believable manner, but the burden of proof is on the accuser, and that didn't happen.

There is no burden of proof; this is not a court of law.

I'm about to have a heart attack and die from the level of surprise.

3), 5), 6), 7), 8), 11), 12)

So?

4) Her behavior leading up to the hearing appears to be staged and calculated. She appears to have been coached.

Whatever supports your view of the world.

9) I believe that Kavanaugh's display of righteous anger is a justified response to this serious accusation.

I would be surprised if the writer felt otherwise.

10) I believe Feinstein and the Democrats are using mentally weak Ford as a political pawn.

This would not be complete without an insult to the victim.

Thriller is complaining about executive orders now...but republicans are partisan hacks?

I freaking love Thriller.

Executive power has been increasing since Reagan, with very little opposition from Congress, and it was accelerated under Bush. It's true every President since has taken advantage of it more so than their predecessor did.

Wait, democrats are now evil for wanting to investigate credible sexual assault allegations of a Supreme Court Justice nominee?

And Trump is now “fact checking” by making fun of one of the sexual assault victims at a campaign rally?

Wow

It’s obvious he’s regurgitating the nonsense spewed by the likes of Hannity, Shapiro, and Kirk. He’s balls deep into some pretty ****** alt right media while pretending to be level headed and moderate.
