WOJ: Korver to Jazz for Burks and 2 second rounders

Korver fits. Burks didn't. We save $4 million this year. They save $3.4 million next year. We lose 2 2nd rounders. They gain 2 2nd rounders.

This trade isn't that hard to comprehend. This shows that Burks had almost zero trade value. Best of luck to him though.

Korver helps because a) there will be more space for people to drive in the paint, and b) we won't need Jae and Thabo to take so many 3s. Actually, I think the Jazz are a bit pissed that Royce O'Neale won't take open 3s.

Good point. Jae takes the most catch-and-shoot 3s on this team and hits.... 25%....

Yes, we needed to give up future draft picks to get older, less athletic and worse defensively. Go Jazz.

Love you HH, I can't agree with you on this move.

These are picks we got in the Trey Burke trade btw.

We don't really exercise seconds and we can get them back... seconds are bought and sold all the time.

I'm fine with not agreeing, but it is tough to just pick on Korver's faults without acknowledging he's a world effing class shooter... like top 3-4 in the NBA. He's a smart player and is such a better fit.

@Saint Cy of JFC is right too... if we have Korver AB ain't playing anyway.

I get it... he is old... he is still completely functional and his deal is cheap.

This is a real cheap shakeup and we added a player with a skill set we need who is also a great human.

Another way to look at this....the Jazz traded Alec Burks, Trey Burke and one of their own second rounders for a guy they previously had on the team but didn't offer a contract to. What is AK doing? I hear Deron still visits park city.

Two wasted tank seasons. 7 wasted years with Alec. What a joke of a franchise.

So I say we ain't doing anything until trade deadline... Cy says we'd be dumb to do something before 1/15... and then this happens.

Solid deal... obviously we need this type of dude. We don't use seconds at all anyway. Maybe AB can get more run... I will always be an AB stan... go get em tiger!

Handsome Kyle is back... we have a god damn shooter. Can we nickname the Korver Ingles duo something... that needs to be a thing.

Korver is great short term fix solution. And either Exum or Burks needed to go. So either the Jazz must still have hope in Exum or Cavs started laughing when he was offered.

We had 3 extra 2nd rounders between now and 2024. Since we don't use them that much, this deal was worth it. And we don't know, maybe those 2nd rounders are "protected".

It's the Wizards picks... we can buy some picks if we ever need too.

Using second round picks to grease the wheels in a trade is by far the best use of second rounders. Getting a rotation player for that price is stealing.

If he is healthy I bet we keep him. The cap space next year is the bigger concession to me.

With Ingles and Korver on the perimeter the jazz should play zone the rest of the season. A 3-2 zone with Rudy and Favors parked in the paint trying to stop all the wings who will get a running start.

The Jazz's offense is generating looks, we are just one of the worst shooting teams in the league. The other thing about Korver is how well he moves off the ball. He can keep his defender glued to him and drag him over screens. He's not just a spot-up shooter. He should be able to pull a defender out of the paint just by running his routes.

What is wrong with you people? Lol

We lost two ****ing second rounders and a dude who never developed here, who had one foot out the door. We potentially fill a huge need, or he's an old man who doesn't have much left and we've lost nothing of value.

Get some ****ing perspective. I am trying to imagine the reactions if something substantial actually happened.

Korver can't handle heavy minutes. He'll get 15 mpg and hit less than 2 three pointers a game. Just as his season stats suggest. A marginal move that won't make a difference. I hope they have more in store.

Can you guys already imagine Korver coming off a Rudy screen bombing away 3s?

Watch the highlights in the video someone posted. When he runs around that ball screen two guys are hugging the three point line. Rudy will have more space when he's on the court.

I just don't understand people on the board I guess. Look at how effing important JJ is to Philly... Korver can absolutely be that for us and makes peanuts compared to JJ.
