To me this has been the most disappointing thing about Crowder this season. Everyone always complains about his shooting (and rightfully so because it's been bad) but I've been really surprised by how bad his defense has been. When we traded for him I thought he was going to be one of the best defenders on the team, a guy who could effectively guard multiple positions.
 
I love how people on this forum are like, "NO, NO TRADES. NO FAVORS FOR PARKER. NO EXUM FOR PARKER." We're second to last in the west with 30 games down. If you want us to tank with this team, then just say it. We're bad and it's not going to change unless a trade happens.
 
I know mostly everyone thinks quin is just a great coach. So why does he play Rubio when we have Joe who does everything better?

Says a fan who clearly

1. Didnt watch the NBA last year
2. Has no idea how the schedule works
3. Doesnt realize barely any games separate the top and 14th spot in the West.

I agree trading Favors for Parker is a great way to tank, if that is the goal.

1. To be better than Favors, Parker would have to do better than "play well".
2. Fans forgive anything when you win.

I knew I was right. No one can answer why. The reason is our coach has got awful ideas. We need a new coach most of you agree. But because you all like quin so much. U can't go against him lol.

Exactly. Right now, Favors is producing as a top 40 player in the NBA. We would need a similar level of production from Parker, who's currently not in the top 200.

You are proving my point. Only a Jazz fan would call Favors a top 40 player or even bring up that stupid stat. Quin benches Favors on the regular and only plays him 23 minutes per game.

Rofl, 1. You're going to bring up a god given miracle that the Jazz went on a rampage to end the season? We don't have any excuses on why we're terrible like last year.
2. Our 'new' blame around Jazzfanz is the schedule since we can't blame anything else or hold players accountable for playing like ***.
3. We're trending DOWNWARD not UPWARD in almost every stat.
4. We're dead last in the NBA in scoring in the 4th.
5. Favors and Gobert are never going to work together.
 
those who say the schedule is an excuse .. look at some of the other teams who start to suck when they have a rough schedule. I've heard quite a few opposing teams analysts comment on how they've never ever seen anything like what ours has been like to start the season in 30 years following the league.

I don't think we're gonna go 29-5 or whatever but even without a trade i thing we are still ok to roll thru the second half of the season and end up something like 3rd or 4th. No teams are tearing it up

Very true. However, we have gotten embarrassed time and time again. Even when we have won some, they have been uneven outside a few strong wins.

I fully expect us to play better and maybe even win 50 games. That doesn't change the fact that Rubio is an expiring who isn't title quality and Favors is overpaid and not a great fit.

We can make changes and still take advantage of our easier schedule.
