Russell Westbrook is the same height and iirc Mitchell has a longer wingspan, and they're both athletic as hell so that's not concerning to me. Westbrook really forces the issue on the defense and gets to the line a lot because of it when he drives to the rim but Mitchell doesn't do that.
I'd put his defense above his height in terms of concerns but I'm not really worried about him on that end as at least he tries hard and doesn't get lost all that often compared to Exum who's calling card is meant to be defense but he gets just as lost off the ball as Mitchell does in less minutes.
True I didn't even think of that but it's a good point. Could partially explain why Mitchell attempts more Rose-esque layups since they're both two foot jumpers instead of bull rushing the rim like Westbrook. There is a difference though, Westbrook can really launch off of one foot. Donovan struggles.
Was the worst on the team in plus minus in the first half as wellKorver shows you his value, draws 2 defenders, Rudy for the easy jam.
This has been a very bad game for our guards.
mitchell was fouled hard there no call unreal man.
So don't pass to Favors who shoots over 50%, don't pass to Joe who shoots 40%+ from deep, don't pass to Rudy who has one of the highest shooting percentage sin the league. Instead, keep chucking up shots at a 40% clip and barely 30% from deep.Pass to who? Favors, haha right. Joe, sure but I doubt he's going to score more then he already is. Rudy, hes only good 5 feet from the basket. Ricky, yeah he's about as reliable as Exum. Mitchell should probably shoot even more shots with this starting lineup.
Lol. I saw that post comingBlowout loss in the second half
Because Harden doesn't try to take a shot like Mitchell does, he tries to draw a foul by overexaggerating any kind of contact he gets.rteally dont get it, how does harden get those same bumps called?
His lack of 1 foot burst hurts him. I hope he eventually learns how to draw fouls, but it's still a bit of a struggle for him.Mitchell looks hesitant going to the rim, and then he leaves his feet going half speed in a crowd of people
Favors shoots 25% from 3. Hw plays ok in pick and roll but the Jazz don't run that much. So no Favors isn't an option in this offense. Joe takes as many shots as anyone could expect from him already, I'd be fine with him taking more fyi. Rudy only scores when he gets tips or a pass inside the paint, it's a tough way to get the ball to him.So don't pass to Favors who shoots over 50%, don't pass to Joe who shoots 40%+ from deep, don't pass to Rudy who has one of the highest shooting percentage sin the league. Instead, keep chucking up shots at a 40% clip and barely 30% from deep.
And that's why we keep losing.
