I don't want to get ahead of myself but it really looked like the game is finally starting to slow down for him tonight. Outside of one garbage pass he was in control all night and picked and choosed when to use his speed and when to just probe the defense and see what they were offering.

Agreed. Our schedule is going to be very favorable moving forward and the team is clicking right now.

Nice win. Exum with good game, Rudy was dominant in the paint, Rubio, Crowder, Ingles, Mitchell all played well. Great team effort. If we could only shoot free throws!

Good games from almost everyone on the team in an easy win. Meanwhile, Haywood with the 5/1/1 in 28 minutes earlier today. It's a very merry Christmas.

Which is why I prefaced my post by saying I don't want to get ahead of myself. Need to see it consistently before we can confidently say he's turned a corner.

It's still encouraging regardless though.

Just a second before, you could hear a fan yell 'shoot it!' at Joe on the ESPN broadcast. I'm pretty sure Joe pointed at that fan afterward too lol

Or an interior defender to clean up after them. He can basically blow by the perimeter guys and finish under minimal pressure.

Exum's cumulative stats in the two games against Portland: 38 mins, 11-16 FG, 1-1 3P, 3 rb, 12 as, 1 st, 1 to, 23 pts. Some of that was in garbage time tonight, but it's still better than he's done against any other team in the league. But if he can bring that floater every night, maybe we'll see more stat lines like this from him.
