THat's some demotivating **** right there.
Seriously. Heaven forbid that The People have their Repz Leader. I expect the JF gestapo to put us all down again sometime in the very near future. Until then, I'm handing out -8's like it's my job, yo.
See the green squares beneath your title? People get one of them for every 100 rep points they have. If I had never done any adjustments to rep power, people would likely be up at rep powers of 50+, so it would just take two pos reps for another 100 rep points to be gained. The site would be flooded with green squares! Is that really what you would have liked?
By readjusting things from time to time so that the top rep powers stay at 10 or below, I've made it so that 10-20 positive reps are needed for an additional green square to be earned, and that value has been kept more-or-less consistent over the past year. This way seems to make a lot more sense, to me.

Well, that is odd. Because I'm obsessive about certain things, I looked at the details for 20 people just now. It looks like the 100 pts = 1 square is the rule for us ordinary folks:
0-100 pts = 1 square
100-200 pts = 2 squares
200-300 pts = 3 squares
300-400 pts = 4 squares
400-500 pts = 5 squares
But then things change to 200 pts per additional square when we come to you elite posters ;-) :
500-700 pts = 6 squares
700-900 pts = 7 squares
900-1100 pts = 8 squares
1100- ? pts = 9 squares
At some point it undoubtedly becomes 300 pts = an additional square, then at an even higher level 400 pts = an additional square, etc.
So maybe we wouldn't have become awash in green squares like I feared. But the green square scale is not documented anywhere I could find, and the parameters are not changeable. So how was I to know?

Gameface has 7 green squares to Coltoons 5 and yet Gameface has 2 less rep power. Odd.

You miss the fact that administrators have rep power boost? If you did, and you should have since it's been noted several times on this board, it wouldn't seem odd to you.

Gameface has 7 squares and 6 rep and you have 3 squares and 5 rep. Did you get the admin rep power boost too?
