What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

I didnt realize so many people were so high on De'Angelo. I can understand the appeal from his age, he's still young and got time to improve. But is he a good fit next to Donovan right now. Feel like Conley is a much better fit.

Oh yeah, Conley's definitely the better fit next to Donovan and the better player overall. I can understand the appeal of wanting a 23 year old over a 32 year old though.

Neither does keeping a player that makes your team worse because of that duplicitousness.

Favors does not make us worse. He just doesn't improve us as much as a similarly skilled player at a more complementary position.

Nigel Goss-Williams wasn’t a 1st round pick either. But, cute.

Crabbe was a below average player at his best. Better than Williams, but he wouldn't have playing time on our squad.

I can guarantee there is no one in the Jazz organization or around the rest of the league for that matter that think's Favors is a better player than Mitchell.

You mean, was a better player this past year, or has more potential not yet realized? This past year, Favors played better. Mitchell will be great, but last year he was still learning.

Mitchell was the beast of burden who was tasked with digging out points for a team with no spacing and no other players with real scoring talent.

Favors played 23 mpg because the team plays worse when he and Gobert share the floor.

The difference is that I know I am joking, and you don't know what you are saying might as well be jokes, AFAICT.

But, if your interpretation works for you, fine by me.
I am well aware that your assertion that Favors is better than Mitchell is a joke.

But keep swinging. Off of me, on me, or otherwise.

If the jazz want another inefficient player like Russell in the backcourt. Just sign me I'll be slot cheaper. I can jack up shots as well.

Sure. Did you think I disagreed?

Should Mitchell reach his potential, he will be able to carry that sort of load with a greater efficiency. Also, there was redundancy and ineffeciency between Favors and Gobert. Doesn't make my point about Favors playing better last year incorrect.

Again, are you referring to last year, or to the likely trajectory of their career?
Any year. It’s great that you believe that efficiency in a vacuum trumps all other considerations.

You’re free to have your opinion, but I would put money on the table that 90% of professional evaluators would think your point is half-baked with some substantial portion of them actually chuckling.

But that’s all beside the point that Favors doesn’t make this team better, and if the Jazz were going to trade him for something of value, they would’ve done it at some point in the last two years.

Is Al Jefferson still in the League? Don't want him getting minutes, but I would like to get him as a personal coach for Rudy. Rudy needs just one or 2 moves, Jefferson had like 17.

KD and Kyrie to the Nets is a dream scenario. ****s over Boston and opens up a real chance in the WC. We better be able to capitalize.

Also, think about the pitch if KD heads east, the balance of power shifts substantially and you can suddenly start pitching a real chance at the finals.
