News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

What I want to see today:

- Bojan to Utah as part of a trade where Favors gets paid
- KD to NY (please no to GS)
- Kyrie to Brooklyn
- Kawhi to the Clippers (anything but the Lakers)
- Butler to anybody but Houston

KD/Kawhi to the Knicks and Butler to the Heat. Keep them away from the West.

I don't think they are getting him to be Kemba. They are getting him because he costs $20 million less than super max Kemba. And Rozier is only 25.

The Hornets will obviously suck it up this year as Biyombo, Marvin and MKG expire. They will play Bridges and PJ Washington as much as possible. If they can bring back Lamb, they will rely on him too.

They will absolutely suck this year, but things could look up as soon as next year.
except that is the exact mentality which has been killing them all these years. overpaying players on lengthy contracts.

I mean, MKG, Marvin, Zeller, or even Biyombo/Batum's contracts were all acceptable deals. I'd even go as far as calling some of them "decent" deals. but putting all of those deals together on one team is disastrous. for jazzfanz, just imagine paying for 5-6 Dante Exum on your team.

at this point, i think Hornets'd be better-off straight up tanking, at least there is no risk in drafting young players on rookie scale contracts.

All depends on how much Rozier gets. If he gets $12 while Russell is getting $25+ Rozier is a bargain.

I think after Charlotte gets Rozier, they sit on their hands for a year or two. They might even go the Atlanta route and just absorb bad contracts until Batum is gone. Rozier, Lamb, Bridges and PJ give them a fighting chance for the playoffs but probably just lottery.

Doesn't matter.

Must be a S&T because Miami is capped out. Is Philly dumb enough to take Hassan or Ryan Anderson? Maybe Dragic and James Johnson? They're serviceable backups.

They could take Winslow and/or Richardson along with Waiters, Olynyk or Johnson. I doubt Philly wants Dragic or Whiteside.

KD supposedly making his decision tonight via social media. I'm glad we're not having another TV special like Lebron's "decision."

LeBron did the TV special to raise money for the Boy's and Girl's Club. He raised $3 million. https://www.espn.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/news/story?id=6175574

"I would do it again," James said. "I won't play this game forever. But the things that we're doing in the communities, things that we're doing in the gymnasiums, in the computer labs, they will last. When I'm done playing basketball, I can still go back to some of those same parks and see what we were able to accomplish that day in 2011. That's important to me."

I would love Favors and Bojan, but unless that's feasible with a S&T for Ricky, I prefer Favors to Bojan. I really, really love what Bojam showed in the POs this year, but Derrick is an outstanding, almost-all-star-level player with a long, long Jazz history.

Let's go! Get Bojan and let Favors get into free agency early. IF we get Bojan, would you rather use room MLE on a wing like Temple or a backup C like Ed Davis?
Davis
Get Burks for wing depth
