Kind of a dumb question though. I'm not trying to attack you or be mean, just stating my opinion. I think you might have known it was a dumb question when you asked it.

It was a dumb question. I gave you a snarky response. I figured you were merely being dumb. Were you trying to be serious? I wouldn’t be that surprised, many who are against tuition free education often pose that same stupid analogy. @JazzGal had a good response to it. She correctly refuted it. Did you have an issue with her refutation?

here’s a question, Why shouldn’t we have tuition free college if we can significantly help our society by not piling loads of debt on our young while promoting a better educated populace?

We already have free schooling in this country. Basically, on a line of education, everything to the left of the line is free:
-----FREE----|----PAY------
The proposal is to move the line:
-----FREE--------|---PAY---

Has our K-12 public education existed ever since we declared independence since 1776?

Why, no, it has not. It looks at first glance as though there were schools, generally what we would consider elementary schools, from the 1600s, although they were not free. The first public high school was opened in Boston in 1821. By the end of the 19th century, public secondary schools outnumbered private ones.

So, yes, the line has been moving steadily to the right for the entire history of our country.

Okay. So if systems change to meet the needs of society, why shouldn’t our current system change to meet the needs of the 21st century?

Kind of was warming up to the idea of a potential battle of warren vs trump, but shes full of **** it seems. Calls bernie a sexist on stage and years back she claims shes native american to get into Harvard.

Claiming to be Native American DID NOT help her get HIRED at Harvard.

She worked at Harvard and put Native American on that form you fill out AFTER you are hired.

And what Bernie said in 1988 does not mean that last year he didn't say something else in regard to who could beat Donald Trump in 2020.
