2020 Presidential election

Dude... I've seen it first hand. I have been called the equivalent of Hitler for it. You can refuse to believe me but I swear it on my Grandmothers grave. That's something I don't do lightly. People have directly blamed my father as well.
Seems like you ran into some pretty terrible people then. That's definitely not where the overwhelming amount of criticism regarding climate change is directed toward.

I have never even thought of a coal miner when I have looked at the ****** air that I live in.

I do hate when people leave their cars running though.

Sadly it probably gets drowned out by the popularity that Marxism has become within the party.

None of the Presidential candidates are Marxists. This is a fictitious talking point from far-right sources more interested in propaganda than truth.

I think that is why the left is struggling so bad right now is that they have went waaaay to far away from their roots.

Both parties have evolved considerably over the last 40 years (and over the 40 years before that, and the 40 years before that). Parties change as the US has changed.

They have lost their true identity.

I don't trust your ability to evaluate the rue identity of a party when you don't even know it doesn't have any Marxists.

If you don't agree explain why Bernie is surging.

You don't state it explicitly, but this seems to be tied into your false sense of what a Marxist is. Sanders is not a Marxist. In fact, his positions are not much further left than Boris Johnson in the UK.

I don't think anyone knows exactly why Sanders is surging, but my barely educated guess is that, in part, people have been seeing very minor wage gains compared to massive increases in costs like college and housing, and farmers in particular have had massive losses under Trump's tariffs.

There could be any number of reasons.

Second of all, there is no mathematical way that anyone could purport that a person traveling by private jet does not use a massively larger amount of fuel and therefore create more of those nasty greenhouse gasses that everyone on the left agrees are the biggest threat the planet is facing

Massively more than generating electricity from coal? If not, massively more than what? What is the difference in the amount of CO2 generated per mile traveled between a small private plan and a commercial airliner, per passenger?

Don't worry, we all know you have no idea. For you, it's just a talking point you heard someone else say, and you think you can attack with it.

Well, he's pretending to make a pro-environmental argument when he's not and doesn't care. He's trying to hold "the left" to a standard he imagines (incorrectly) that the left believes in. It's pure echochamber BS. It's extreme right-wing media telling their followers what the left is, and going further to tell you that when "the left" says "A" what they really mean is "Z" so don't be tricked by those tricky tricksters tricks. The genius in redefining the very meaning of what people on the opposite side are saying is that you've first convinced the follower that they are more clever than their adversary and not stupid enough to fall for believing what they actually say, second you get to tell them what the opposition is really saying.

There's no way out of that once the follower becomes a true believer. Their only source of truth comes from those who are manipulating the message. What's even more very sadly hilarious is that one of the things these people have been most convinced of, the thing that has been beaten into them more than almost anything else is that "the left" controls all media and people on the left are the victims of the exact thing they are actually the victims of on the right.

Andrew Yang just dropped out. He was the best chance for Dems but least promoted of the big names. Too bad they didn't realize he had actual appeal to more than just their voter block.

Also, Biden is looking weak as hell in these races, dude needs to drop out. Currently 5th in New Hampshire, that's rough.

Ultimately, I think it will boil down to Sanders and Mayor Pete for the nomination.

I could easily get behind Buttigieg. Will probably have to learn to spell his name without looking it up if he gets the nomination.

Warren is falling off pretty hard. If she drops out (not saying that is likely to happen anytime soon) that would be a pretty big boost for Sanders.

What?

Well, what I said was Andrew Yang was appealing to more than just dems. Also, I think it will come down to Sanders and Mayor Pete for the Dem nomination. And finally, I was wondering what the hell was going on with Biden? He flat out is terrible and it's starting to show in the polling in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Clear?

Well, when he answers a town hall question by calling the asker a "lying dog-faced pony soldier" I think it hurts his image. I mean he's not trying to get the Republican nomination. That **** doesn't appeal to Democrats.

It's definitely a weird approach to constantly attempt to fight your own potential voters, but hey, he learned from a hardcore gangster named Corn Pop!
