I have seen many of the jazz fans people on the left who care about it alreadyThis whole episode is so predictable. The left is going to start caring about these accusations the moment they figure out a way to replace Biden with someone other than Bernie, and not a second before. Watch how sanctimonious they become the instant they figure out a plan for that.
I don’t think he’s referring to people here. He’s talking about the talking heads and the base. The only establishment folk who have addressed it are those who have downplayed it or called it into question. If they find another nominee, only then can Biden become the sacrificial goat to which they may boast how woke they are.I have seen many of the jazz fans people on the left who care about it already
I know that doesn't fit your narrative though so you choose not to see those posts I'm sure.

Probably because her story has changed from what it was just a year ago. She has little credibility. You have a valid point. I'm wondering why this is getting almost no coverage.

Agreed.Salon has a very good article about this. Sorry no link atm.

Those are all valid points. However, how much is their perceived validity affected by the characters involved? For instance, if Bernie were still looking like the front runner, would we be asking these questions as much before we started seeing the headlines? I don’t mean that to you specifically, but regarding the general approach that’s been taken to it. Would a story like this be able to sit on the shelves for its first 10 days?Agreed.

She now claims that she considered telling the "full story", but the way the reporter (from the article I linked earlier) asked the questions had "shut her down." I don't really know what that means, but it feels like a weak excuse to me, especially when she said the contact was non-sexual. Unless the reporter just straight made that part up or really really pressured her to say that, which I doubt.
Here's where I disagree with the Salon author though:
But taken along with the other discrepancies in Reade's accounts — which are also, on their own, not reasons to discredit her — it's enough to make publications take a slow and careful approach to amplifying this story.
Discrepancies in her accounts is actually a completely valid reason to discredit her.

My theory is that the longer this goes ignored, the more people say “hey, this really must have serious credibility issues and that’s why the media never picked it up.” Major media ignoring it will be the reinforcement needed to... I’d say dismiss it but it’s not going to be dismissed as much as it is ignored.

He's the lefts presidential candidate and people will vote for him come November. In my eyes if the left really cared he wouldn't be in the position he's in.His words said "the left will start caring when..."
Maybe he should have said the left media or something of course right now all media only focuses on the virus.
The actual truth is that the actual left does already care about this. Just cause the media is focusing on the virus doesn't mean the left doesn't care about the Biden accusations.
Don't get it twisted.

The guy had the economy booming, record unemployment, 60% of the country doing better, signed prison reform, signed the allocation of money to black colleges and signed an executive order against human trafficking, went to war with Mexican cartels and not a positive word from hardly any body on the left. Absolutely none hereTrumps biggest problem might be that anytime anyone says anything to him or he hears anything about him his first thought seems to be: are they praising me, or criticizing me? Then he reacts the way he reacts after he first answers that question.
At least that's how it appears. He is way too concerned with himself.
If he gets praise he loves it and takes it all for himself when it would be much better for him to accept praise with Grace and spread the praise to others involved around him.
When he gets criticism he goes into attack mode or deflect mode when he should just take the criticism with dignity and try to take some responsibility.
Basically he is a child

He was a promising Democrat figure. It wasn't a small sacrifice. He might have been eyeing a Presidential run at some point.Again, the treatment of Al Franken says otherwise.
Show me in this very forum please. I've been here a long time and none of you antiTrumps ever said a positive word.Perhaps you should read the actual left, not the right-wing distortions thereof.

He would get praise if he changed his childish behavior. The guy had the economy booming, record unemployment, 60% of the country doing better, signed prison reform, signed the allocation of money to black colleges and signed an executive order against human trafficking, went to war with Mexican cartels and not a positive word from hardly any body on the left. Trump is fighting a class of people who will stoop to any level to hate him. But of course he should be nice and greatful to people who hate him around every corner.
I absolutely have said positive things about trump. **** me im on my phone. I will post from my pc.Show me in this very forum please. I've been here a long time and none of you antiTrumps ever said a positive word.
I dare you to prove me wrong.
Great post. I agree with all of itI absolutely have said positive things about trump. **** me im on my phone. I will post from my pc.
I have said several times that the U.S. needed to confront China on currency manipulation and trade practices. It should have happened under Bush for sure, since it didn't happen then it became urgent under Obama's administration and he did NOTHING.
I think it is unfortunate that it has been as mish mash and blunt force trauma as it has been, but Trump did something that absolutely needed to be done. It needed to be done 12 years ago. I'm not sure HRC would have faced it.
I also have said that I was initially encouraged by Trump's handling of PRNK. I likened it to a scared straight type strategy. Unfortunately Trump didn't close the deal and PRNK is back up to their old tricks with no meaningful progress at all having been made.
I don't give President's much credit for the economy. I think Apple, Intel, Google, Amazon, etc have 100x more influence on what our economy does than the President. I also can see clearly that something like a pandemic can undo the best (or worst) efforts of any administration. So the economy thing wasn't impressive to me when the economy was good... please don't try to impress me with Trump's 3rd quarter point lead when he's back to even with time running out in the 4th quarter and the momentum is strongly NOT in his favor.
Unlike OB, I would welcome Pence with open arms instead of Trump. I don't like him, not at all. But the position of POTUS is one that needs competence and Pence would be a competent POTUS. That matters to me more than party. I want a competent, smart, rational person to be our president because I think it has very real national security implications. I think Republicans are in general just as capable of leading this nation competently as Democrats are in general (I actually give the edge to Republicans on that, but when most Democrats are competent enough I can make a decision based on more than that one thing).
Trump has done very little well. He has not shown a great ability at "getting deals done" or any of those things he's supposed to be good at.
He's a braggart, I've been completely dumbfounded by how much that seems to impress people. It turns me all the way off. But that is the thing I would say is his #1 skill. He claims victory when he has failed. He shifts blame when he falters. He takes credit for random positive occurrences. He tells everyone how smart he is, how successful he is and how cunning he is, even when the facts suggest otherwise. Impressing people with that type of bravado and braggadocio is easily his biggest accomplishment of his administration.
I'm not choosing not to see them. Since you are aware of them, please point them out to me.I have seen many of the jazz fans people on the left who care about it already
