Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Antifa, and the Black Lives Matter groups have a sort of commie rhetoric and ideological root. They are owned by old rich white guys who intend to exploit the common folk, especially the black folk.

No one owns antifa, they are not organized hierarchically. Black Lives Matter is run by black people, but I'm sure some white people provide funding.

@Zombie *answers question from 2013 data.

K.
Considering that was the data point I was working from that initiated the conversation was from 2013 I think it's fine.

I doubt 2013 was an outlier year for pizza delivery drivers getting murdered, but I guess it's possible. How about you prove to me that it was since that's what your argument here seems to hinge on.

My wife donated to BLM. In fact, we attended their rally this morning in Salt Lake City. Nearly everyone wore masks (thank goodness). We donated because we believe eliminating systemic racism and police brutality are of great importance in our society. If we are to operate as a democracy then we need to treat all citizens with respect before the law.

We stayed for nearly two hours. Very peaceful and very pro-USA. Most of the speeches were given by local people who made connections with the state and its dominant religion. One of the speakers talked about attending BYU and how she learned how much in common she had with others when she went on a mission. I thought it was a very worthwhile rally. Not exactly the terrorist, anti-USA, and pro-Democrat.

Has anyone else actually attended a BLM rally? I think having first-hand experience might be helpful.

My brother went to college at William and Mary. During his last year there he worked pizza delivery. Someone phoned in a couple pies one night that were to be delivered at a townhouse or condo complex or some **** at an address on the back side of it that faced the woods. Two black guys robbed him at gunpoint there. Took his license (along with cash which to my recollection wasn’t a whole lot) and said we know where you live. It never caused him to look at blacks differently. I do however think it was one of about four or five negative events in his life that helped construct who he later became and led to his demise and suicide.

The pizza delivery data is what made me think of it.

This is really interesting. Thanks for posting this.

One thing I've discussed with my wife these past few weeks is what industry can act with impunity? What industry is as worshipped as law enforcement in our country?

You don't hear people making excuses for teachers abusing children. You don't see scores of fellow teachers resigning to protest the termination of one of their colleagues. You don't see bankers or lawyers given the benefit of the doubt when caught in an encounter that looks controversial.

In what other industry could you see a video of a person killing another person over the course of 9 minutes and not become angry?

What other industry can demand more and more public funds without any accountability? The way people are reacting to "defund the police" is something we'd never see in public education. How do we know that throwing more money at police will improve outcomes? Could those public funds be better allocated?

I think we've gone waaayyyyyy too far into law enforcement worship in our country. They're just like any other profession and must not be given blank checks and complete impunity. Who's policing the police in our social hierarchy?

Nah. The only black people with agency are Candace Owens and Ben Carson. All the rest are doing some rich white guys bidding.

LOL. Well done.

Honestly, I don't know. At least I'm asking and not painting or no?

BTW, there were a lot of references to MLK and the Civil Rights era speeches and there 4 were people going around registering voters today at the BLM rally. There was at least one Utah legislator there, Rep. Brian King (House Minority Leader). The SL BLM organizer, Alexis Scott, gave a speech specifically asking everyone there to register and remember to vote this fall.

So it's kinda weird to hear accusations that BLM is some sort of anarchy group. Anarchy groups typically don't register people to vote and encourage them to use democratic means to promote civil rights.

I hope critics of this group are actually attending these BLM rallies instead of regurgitating disinformation from Facebook and other right wing sites.

Speaking of race relations, I have no idea where people got the idea that trump and his supporters are racist...

I can almost guarantee that Thriller spends more time on right wing sites or reading right wing posts than anyone else on Jazzfanz.

It's like his electric dildo. It hurts so bad and he can't get enough therefore every one thinks this way.

Cool, dude.
