Super cool and good for Don!

I wasn't, but it's probably not very broadly speaking. But good is good, and it's also way more than any other player I've ever heard of, at least in one move.

I'm more interested in oneye's take, personally.
Amazing thing by Donovan. That’s all I have to say here lol. I can have fan opinions, and human opinions.

I’m not an expert on school finances, and tell me if wrong but That is a lot of money for an elementary school. Proud of DM for going the extra extra mile on the donation. I can’t remember an athlete at DM’s age ever donating that much. Wow!!

It sounds like a very well thought out gift, and with him knowing teacher's involved - the money is going to where it can make the biggest difference in people's lives - through improving their K-12 education. Donovan always surprises with his wisdom and maturity - far beyond his years. This is $12 million dollars will impact and improve the lives of more people than many of the billions given out by other celebrities (often for PR reasons). Congrats to Donovan Mitchell for caring enough to give and give in a meaningful way.

More than Lebron building a school?

OK, I looked it up. Lebron's I Promise school cost his $2m to set up and he will eventually be donating $2m/yr. So, eventually, yes, it will be more, but not yet.

i was more expecting comments of “he donated all that money to a private school for rich kids that costs $50,000 a year for tuition, when could’ve drastically improved multiple inner city public schools”.

I think it’s cool either way to be clear

Lol, I did see that as a sticking point on Twitter for some.
