Needs its own thread to burn incense for the spirits. Was just waived by Minnesota. We’ve gained back a little bit of the toughness we lost from ‘18-‘19, but losing Crowder was big. This guy is a BAMF. He grabs boards. He’s a defender. He’s a guy with a bigger body and more strength to throw at LeBron. (Yes, I know you’re not stopping LeBron, but if I’m going to a gun fight, I’d rather have a knife than my fists). A number of people skeptical about the Shaq hype realized he looked pretty damn good on defense in his limited minutes the other night. So, with that in mind, here’s an important video that tells you quite a bit. This isn’t a highlight composite of a whole season. This is simply his action in a pre-season game this year and shows you what he’d bring in terms of toughness and defensive disruption:

It’s just weird they released him. They need a guy that gives them what he does and you have Kat so there is still space.

IDK... I’d prefer him to Yogi but I doubt either guy will end up playing so I’m not gonna be sad when he goes elsewhere.

I’ll be pissed. I’ll be asking for my league pass money back, an apology, and for DL to be fired.

Sounds fair. So we release Yogi... sign RHJ and just tell him to learn the sex machine and prepare for Lebron all year. Want him training like Sideshow Bob in prison when he was doing pull-ups and saying “kill Bart”. Tell him he has one job and make him a Lebron Terminator.

We could do that, but we could also use him in other ways, too. I wouldn’t release Yogi. He’d be our 15th spot. But, if needed, I would waive Morgan. I know a lot of people are high on him and want to reward him and that’s not a popular opinion, but I just really don’t see him getting enough burn that Quin feels comfortable putting him into situations that he may with someone like RHJ. Yeah, he played a bit in the playoffs last year. But I think there are some legitimate intangibles here to having a guy like him on the roster.

But it’s also nice to be able to throw different options at a Kawhi or a Luka. Or when other energy guys like a Tucker or Harrell start to cause us trouble. We need a counter.

Plus we don’t have anyone with a free-throw shimmy.

ROTFL

Niang is better and fits better on this team. Besides we already have two perimeter players that are stud defenders that are bad shooters.
Who said anything about Niang?

And I suppose you’re right that we don’t need and Air Force since we’ve already got a Navy.

at this point we still have no one on the team who we can realistically put on guys like lebron, kawhi, tatum, siakam, ingram, etc. they are either too tall and can shoot over the perimeter defenders like shaq, oni and royce, or too quick and can simply blow past the bigger guys like ingles and favs. that's why we need someone like RHJ who possesses both size and quickness to help us cover those elite forwards in the league.

RHJ played a good role on a good team last season and from everything I've heard, he's a great character/locker room guy. I really don't know how he slipped through the cracks this year. Getting released from MIN of all teams is just crazy. He probably would have started and played 25+ MPG if I was running that team.

Let’s hold out for a guy like this that is actually playable for more than 10-15 minutes. Worst thing they can do is settle.

look at this shooting drill by Brandon Ingram. we were absolutely torched. i doubt he could see Royce at all when he release those shots. And Ingram wasn't even top 5 in his position. now imagine us trying to stop kawhi or lebron in the playoffs. Someone like RHJ could help us with that
