What's new

Game Thread Jan 31, 2021 1:30PM MT: Jazz at Nuggets

This. At least run some traps or something. Something to shake it up. But Quinn doesn't do adjustments like that.
Can't trap Jokic unless you want to get killed. He just kills teams with his passing.

I am pretty sure Clarkson was fuming at half so he will come in and just destroy these Nuggets.

Has anyone had problems with their ATT broadcast? Saw their Twitter post they were having issues. So damn glad I'm not relying on normal cable / satellite (and paying a fortune) to watch the Jazz. I'd be furious

We were down 30 at one point. We can still win this game. All of our 20-4 run was with Jokic on the floor and Clarkson out. We really need to put our foot on the gas when he checks out. Clarkson is fresh and you know he’s ready to shoot.

Yeah I'm impressed. Still think winning this game is a super longshot, but hey they've put themselves in a position.

I can show you Ben Simmons making a 3, does that make him a great three point shooter? Obviously not. Short anecdotes mean nothing. A player demonstrates high/low BBIQ with a total body of work.

Joe Ingles has a ton of bad turnovers, but it's very obvious that he is a smart basketball player. He makes the game so much easier for himself and his teammates through his decisions. That's why Joe Ingles is a good player, it's not raw talent like Mitchell. Mitchell excels because he can overwhelm his opponents with talent and ability.

If Mitchell was a great decision maker, he'd be one of the elite players in the league because there aren't many guys as talented as him.
You still haven't answered the question.

List the reasons why Don has such a poor BBIQ. If you say it's because he averages 3 turnovers a game, that doesn't support your argument.

Does Compazzo do anything other than throw fancy passes where he last played? The few times I've seen him out there just looks awful.

Edit: and as soon as I say that splashes a 3

I love how he air balled one three and makes the other. Gobert finally showing some fight.

It should be obvious. I don't think he makes good decisions with the ball. He over dribbles and takes too much time to get into actions. He doesn't make reads well on the fly. He takes unnecessarily difficult and/or low percentage looks. His defensive awareness is poor, although that might just be an effort thing.

What's our biggest comeback win ever?
