I think they don't want to risk him. They are afraid that the playoffs will end if something happens to him.

This was back when he and everybody else was saying he's going to play.

Either he had a setback or our medical staff is beyond incompetent. The latter explanation is starting to make sense considering they all thought it was a minor injury 6 weeks ago.

My guess is the decision came from coaching staff and the front office. DM wants to play.

Yeah, maybe the Jazz are playing stupid games again.

I can see it being a thing where if the Jazz win game 1, he'll sit game 2. If they lose game 1, he'll play game 2.

Donovan said this week that the injury had been worse than reported. I don't believe they would hold him out if he was ready to go. They'd restrict his minutes, but not hold him out completely.

im gona be optimistic and say, the jazz feel they can beat the grizz in 5-6 games and allowing mitchell to be 100% instead of like 90%. they might just want him at absolute capacity.
