NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

With a gimpy Chris Paul, I think the Suns have to put the Lakers away right here, or they aren't getting past the Lakers next game. But, yeah, the Suns scare me less than they did a month ago, lava hot Booker or no.

Unpopular opinion:

Lebron has finally hit the wall. He clearly doesn’t have the energy or athleticism that he used to. The reason why he's looking pretty pedestrian in this series is because he isn’t the player he used to be. I remember seeing this happen to Malone. He went from being the best PF in the game to mostly a jump shooting big who played position defense. Same thing with Kobe, he was one of the top players in the game and very quickly became just a good SG. When it hits it hits quickly.

Doesn’t mean he sucks. It just means he’s not going to consistently be able to carry a team like he used to.

With a healthy AD he might be able to do enough. But without him... it's over.

Right there is all you need to know, with 6 minutes left, season on the line, Lebron signals to come out of the game for a blow. Not sure he does that even last year.

He'd have to rely more and more on AD. I just don’t see the Lebron that consistently was the most dominant player in the game. In this series alone I think Ayton, Booker, and AD looked more dominant. He’s 36, isn’t that the age Malone and Kobe slowed down too?

I think the Lakers will need to bring in another star guard along with a healthy AD and Lebron if they want another run.

What’s Kuzma’s game? I don’t get it. Is he a stretch 4? Seems like his game hasn’t evolved since his rookie year. If anything, he’s regressed. He doesn’t do anything very well.

He needs to date fewer Kardashians and work on his game. George Niang has better game than Kuzma. Couldn’t say that a few years ago.

Right? I just don’t think he has it anymore. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of malone. Malone lost his athleticism pretty quickly and became a jump shooting big almost overnight. It was sometime between that portland series when they had Pippen and that Dallas Mavericks series when they upset us. Malone went from being dominant to being meh if memory serves.

Boy the Lakers have clamped down on booker. Like a dominatrix on a pair of nuts.
