I was coaching flag football and the game was out of hand. We were down infinity points. The coaches on the other sideline were crazy obnoxiously loud. The ref and I were discussing what down we were on… it was totally civil… the other coach kept screaming from the sideline… I got so frustrated I told him no one is talking to you right now so be quiet… he continued… I told him if he really wanted to discuss it I’d talk with him at length in the parking lot… it got super quiet.

I got me down (I was completely right). I also got an email from the league. He wasn’t about that life.

I was sitting in a beer garden last night drinking a pint, having a smoke and chatting with a couple of friends and this bloke walks up and says "Are you going to pick up a rifle when the Chinese invade?"

No hello, no hey guys just that nonsense. I honestly didn't know what to say. I thought have you escaped some state run facility? Is this how you normally introduce yourself?

I told him I had bigger problems than his imaginary ******** and asked him to bother someone else. He then called me a coward and walked off. I was tempted to bust out the old you me car park now but remembered im supposed to be an adult.

Yeah that was probably the right move… your guy was nuts… my guy was a chubby 5’3” dude who I would have buried. I only pick fights I can win.

Well, if Quin won’t give his geriatric *** a night off every now and again, at least the league will!

Joe gets to spend more time with kids.
We get a more rested Joe, something Quin won’t do.
Hopefully Butler gets more burn.
The league gets to be happy they make an example.

This is one of those win-win-win-win situations.

Joe probably gets 4 games to set an example.

I think he gets zero games the way they are talking. David stern must be turning over in his grave with these limp punishments

Sage move. My dude looked like a middle aged accountant who'd been listening to right wing talk radio all day who'd accidentally walked into a bar. He was indeed odd.
 
True leadership would be about focus on the primary goal which would be putting yourself in a position to win regardless of whether the refs are calling in your favor or not. Get enough skill to finish around the rim regardless of fouls. Get enough skill to make a higher percentage of free throws if calls are made in your favor. Put in enough work to reduce turnovers. If you winning relies on the refs calling a fair and even game then you haven't worked hard enough to be better than the competition. I can't imagine winning championships when shooting less than 60% at the free throw line unless you happen to have dominated the game in all other areas.
 
The whole scuffle was just frustration boiling over with how lousy they were playing tonight...except from Clarkson, who just seems destined for one great game and three lousy games in a row, so perhaps the norm isn't frustrating to him.
 
jazz team is mentally weak. We let physicality affect our game. It's the probably the only way pacers beat us, to get into our heads.

And Rudy why are you trying to hug Turner ?
 
They not only lost the game they also lost their composure and looked silly doing it. Not impressed by the Joe and Don hold-me-back moves, and Rudy, wtf was that? They better get ready because the book is out to rough this team up and watch them whine and quit. Hopefully the Jazz can use this as a learning experience and realize sometimes you do, genuinely, have to buckle-up. Play every quarter with the intensity of champs on both ends of the floor and overcome the refs
 
I remeber forest entering the game but don’t remember him doing anything. Play butler instead please
