All this talk about trading Millsap and Jefferson spurred me to think about what is the rotation we are trying to achieve?
Where do we want to end up at? What are the slots we need to fill either by the draft, trade or free agency?
I think this is where we should be heading to.
New PG 33/ Backup point 15
Burks 33/ Hayward 15
Hayward 18/ New SF 30
Favors 18/Millsap 30
Kanter 33/Favors 15
IMO we need to trade for a better youngish PG and try to draft a very good SF in the draft. Though you could try to do the reverse.
This means that Bell, CJ Miles, Watson/Price and Evans aren't really important in the long term. I traded Jefferson for new starting guard. Harris could be a very good 6th man or we could move him too for a SF.
The only current veteran I see us keeping is Millsap. Harris can come or go depending on things go. I like Evans as a backup PF.
Of course you have some other players for depth. But the above rotation would be our core.
