Blow the !@$%!%#$ Team Up

I’d honestly call up Washington and get something done there. The Bradley Beal rumors have to be tiring.

Mitchell/Royce for Beal/Rui

Both teams get an All Stars. Washington gets Royce with a reasonable deal and doesn’t have to worry about paying Rui when they have Kuz/Kp. Mitchell/Royce/Kuz/kp

Jazz get Beal (only 28) and Rui (shot 40%+ from 3 last year and will need a new contract soon)

Conley/Mitchell/Royce for Beal/kcp/Rui.

I’d rather a retool then a rebuild.

I think we have seen how our team will perform with Donovan and no Rudy... we will be similar to the Beal Wizards... I think Donovan will really start to lose value if we end up sucking. I'd just move em both now and take a premium on Donovan.
I disagree with this 100%. We have only seen a handful of games with Donovan and without Rudy. Note: we have only seen Donovan without Rudy in a system built around what Rudy does. When Rudy has been out, we just replace Rudy with a largely inferior replacement like Whiteside.

Most importantly, we would need to build a team concept around the current NBA standards instead of our big man focused screen/rim protect schemes. We don't build it for Donovan, but we need to make sure we have good perimeter defenders like every other solid NBA team.

If we traded Rudy for at least good role players, we would be better than just playing with our roster without Rudy.

Let him eat his cake.
The problem is him eating the cake will hurt his trade value when he asks out... then we eat the cake.

I really think the first consideration is seeing what is out there for Rudy/Don and if the returns are good/great you rebuild. If the returns are bad on Rudy I think you consider the trade Donovan route... if the returns are bad on both guys I guess you just push forward with the pairing and move other stuff and swap out the coach.

Based on our post AS break record we might be a play in team next year if healthy... if we have an injury we in the lotto... so we will get a decent pick anyway.

I think the Wiz have some good role players around Beal. Maybe we are a tad better than that but I believe the West will be even tougher next year.

It was less a comment about what we have seen without Rudy and more a comment of having one guy in the Beal tier with other okayish guys hasn't gone well.

Rudy is such a huge part of what we built that moving him means moving so many other parts. I'm not sure a re-tool that large can work... the runway with Donovan will end quickly... its a tough spot.

I’m actually relieved that with Ainge we no longer have to worry about “doing right” by every one of our players. Taking ****** deals and throwing in extra picks to get guys onto teams they would prefer. **** all these soft and entitled players that are gonna feel sorry for themselves and give up on each other cuz they got their feelings hurt years ago. Don’t slip on your tears and don’t let the door hit you on they way out.

Beal hasn't stayed healthy and his role players have changed so much year to year since Wall got hurt.

If we traded Rudy, we will have more talent than the Wiz and I think we are a definite playoff team. Seeding TBD by the type talent we get for Rudy.

And if they run it back the next year, the Jazz convey the #11 pick to OKC for the honor of taking on a contract that never had to exist.

That’s actually for 2024 so we at least get our pick!!!!

Jebus… the drama don’t stop.
This might be the straw that breaks Quin's back. He really advocated hard to bring Dooling in despite his prior substance abuse issues. He and DL weren't speaking when DL gets canned and then he goes to the mat to get Dooling hired. I would think top management would start to say that Quin has an issue with bad judgment.

Ship Rudy to Charlotte, who's desperate to make the playoffs right now. Get Washington/Bridges/picks

This is by far the best trade I’ve seen. Will Charlotte do a sign and trade with bridges? Idk but I would be calling to find out. PJ Washington and Bridges would be fantastic. They have a couple decent picks this year too that could be used in other deals like HH said

I don't think Bridges is possible at all.

Rozier, Washington and any other young guy they got not named LaMelo would be in play though. They also have #13 and #15 this year. Could probably get future draft assets too.

If we could add a 3rd team and turn the picks into a proven player (Jerami Grant, John Collins, etc), it could work well.

I get the impression that Charlotte want to cut costs so a Rudy deal with them likely involves Gordon. Gordon, PJ, both picks this year? They have a weird pick they owe that has unique protections which will make giving out a future pick hard. Maybe you sneak Mcdaniels in the deal too.

It’s not the worst thing ever. Hayward could be moved to a third team but Hornets are acting like his contract is toxic. It’s bad but it’s not long and he’s a good player when available. The vibes likely don’t improve with Hayward but maybe everyone moves past it.

I’m sure everyone hates it but whatevs

I just think it would be a very hard sell to the fanbase to bring Hayward back. We would have to find a third team which I don't know is out there.

Charlotte has a good financial situation to add Rudy. LaMelo is still a couple years away from a new deal. Bridges will be in the first couple years of a 1st max contract which isn't that bad. A big 3 of LaMelo, Rudy and Bridges is damn strong.

Next year, Rozier, Washington, and Plumlee combine to make $35+ and Rudy makes $38+. They can figure out Hayward if money is an issue.
