Chicago getting their asses kicked, would they be willing to trade for Gobert?

Here’s my best LoPo impersonation.

Jazz trade Gobert and O’Neale

Bulls trade Nichola Vucivic Kobe White and Patrick Williams.

I mentioned this earlier. Then you trade Mitchell, and you have a nice reload with picks coming, whatever we get for DM

They are losing by 20 and have been obliterated overall in the series. Does this motivate the bulls to trade for Gobert?

Unless we’re doing a complete rebuild the front office isn’t trading their best player. Can you imagine how good this team would be with capable wing defenders around Gobert?
Anyone who has watched this team in the post season the past 3 (!) years cannot seriously believe Gobert is our best player lol. Locke really has everyone delusional when it comes to Gobert.

Anyone who has watched this team in the postseason the last three years knows that any talk of any of our players post season abilities is dumb. None of our players have gotten us out of the second round.

But we have the #1 offense in the league. C'mon fallen. There are stats out there that prove that Rudy Gobert is the best defensive player in the league. Dallas just scores at the rim because of everybody else.

Would absolutely love to have Caruso. I think he might (and have thought for years) be the answer of who to put next to Don that is remotely attainable.
Honestly, how much differently could this all have gone if the Jazz used the mini-MLE on Caruso instead of Ed Davis (and signed some dude off the scrap heap like Joakim Noah, or Udoh, or Bogut, or something like that for the minimum)?

We’ve had a front-row seat to what happens when you lose all of your scrappy players that make winning plays. Think he could (have) be(en) an important piece. The 2019 retool left us with something that always felt kind of hollow.

I know we’ve beat this dead horse to pulp but I was singing this tune in 2019 too.

What would they need to pry Caruso away? What is it that caused them to fall apart?

For real. Retool or rebuild, I want him here.

Bulls ain’t gonna give us close to that. Would be great though.
Interesting. I I admittedly am not super familiar with Williams given he missed most of the year, but my first impression of that trade is that the Jazz aren’t getting enough back.

I don’t know how the Bulls will assess their team, but they could easily make an argument their season was derailed by injuries and try to run it back. That said, LaVine is an unrestricted free agent and the Blazers cleared cap space, so there is at least one interesting destination for him if the Bulls hesitate to max him out again. He is from the Pacific Northwest.
