Official Record Prediction Thread

SOOO much hinges on the development of Favors and Hayward that it's hard to predict. I'm going the optimistic route: Favors has drool-worthy athleticism and something to prove while being in the most stable situation of his career; I'm taking Hayward's breakout game against the Lakers as an omen. Harris plays well with a wing of Hayward's play-making ilk, and I expect a lot from him. I think Ty can get this team together for that brutal stretch run.

36-30

playoffs

Can we somehow make this thread sticky so at the end of the season we could look back and see how ridiculous some of these predictions are? I am surprised nobody yet predicted we will win it all...

Well, I can like double sticky it if you want.

I do like the optimism. It's almost time to break out the Jazz Kool Aid.

3 f****** ice cubes?

33-33

28-38, which is okay if progress is being made at the end of the season.

Define what you mean by progress?

If we do end up with a losing record the only solace I take is that the upcoming draft is loaded. But still, I think we have the pieces to be a playoff team this year. 28-38 would be incredibly disappointing if we're healthy all year.

Dallas, OKC, Lakers, Memphis are the only teams in the West I'm comfortable declaring as locks for the playoffs. Probably the Spurs too, but you never know with how old they are. Let Gordon lead us to the promised land like Joseph Smith!!!!

We will end up in the 6th seed with the Lakers, OK, Dallas, SA and 1 other team ahead of us. We will finish the season with 38 wins. I see us going up against a tired Dallas team.

Ok, official predection: 36 w 30 loss.

It'll take some time for everyone to click, but with the athletes the Jazz have and the former all stars/future all stars the Jazz have, they figure it out mid season and start clicking. The question is: will this be good enough for the playoffs?

I think 36-30 gets us in. Like I said earlier in the thread there are really only 4 teams guaranteed to make the playoffs (barring major injury) - Dallas, Lakers, Thunder and the Grizzlies. The West is wide open after that.

I like where your head is at.

I'm going to go with 34-32. Just missing the Playoffs this year. I think the team need this year to really gel and get the youngsters up to speed. Next year I do feel we could be a lot better than around .500
