The results of some very hard work:

This is just a preview.

I’m a little surprised there’s no talk about a guy getting caught outside Kavanaugh’s house who was planning to kill him. I mean, that’s pretty wild.

So much just flys by. I remember some elected official (a democrat) having been the target of some kidnapping plot by an extremist group and there was barely a mention.

Gretchen Whitney of Michigan. I remember a fair amount of talk on it. The reason it stopped is because the undercover FBI agent supposedly entrapped the group and pushed them further and further. Good job FBI!

I agree. It's also weird. When he saw the marshals, he started walking away, and then he called the marshals to tell them what he was planning.

First, I want to offer all my thoughts and prayers to the Kavanaughs and what they are going through. It's just a shame we have a few people who are clearly mentally disturbed. We need to look into getting better mental health protections. Also, I think there should be a cop with a gun stationed at each SCOTUS's front door with a metal detector, to keep them feeling safe.

Ya, see I had no idea about the persons name and never heard that info about the FBI cause we didn't discuss it much on here. Maybe you can do a thread search and find the thread about it but i dont remember much discussion.

I did find it discussion of the Whitmer plot in three separate threads.

I'm glad RandyForRubio is concerned about entrapment. I'm sure he'll feel the same way the next time there's a headline about some guy who agreed to buy drugs from a cop.

I believe that involving 13 people, a conspiracy, and no obvious mental health concerns among the suspects seems to justify more media coverage than a lone guy whose wo ill he turns himself in so he won't do damage. Others may disagree as they choose.

You know me, I’m pretty consistent. Entrapment is bad, in general. Some cases are worse than others.

I just thought a man “attempting” to kill a Supreme Court Justice was newsworthy. He saw the security and turned himself in. I believe that security started a couple weeks ago? It’s a shame his address was given out so that people could protest outside his house. Bad precedent.

Fair.

I saw it on the news the day after it happened. However, no one was shot, and we've had some recent mass shootings.

I agree that no one should be threatening SCOTUS justices. As for their addresses, it's the information age.

I assumed there was pretty decent security around the Supreme Court Justices. I guess it isn't as much and hasn't been much at all compared to what I thought.

What's the value of picking a justice for a political party? More than what a lot of people get killed for, I'm sure.

Well, we should obviously harden the home, make it so there's only a single entrance.

Don't forget they need to have a single point of entry and exit to make it extra safe.

Aww beat me to it.

Let's compromise and erect 15 foot walls with barbed wire on top around all their homes.

A teacher and a former student of his, a 13 year old student. He records the acts and sends them to another teacher on the mainland. He openly opposes laws like the one in Florida. Just an evil person. I think he is the one sick in the mind.
Sure. Why was this in a politics thread?
