Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

How many non All Star players get max deals and it pans out well for the team?
IDK how many all star games did Wiggins play in before this year? Brunson ain’t getting the max either. Brunsons deal will look closer to FVV’s deal that seemed pricey than some overpaid guy like Deangelo Russell.

They have an MVP caliber player that's improving and a great player development staff. Brunson was a 2nd round pick that was a non factor in the playoffs until this season now he's worth Don/Tatum money.

You do realize that Donovan and Tatum would be signed for more money if it was possible.

Why did Minnesota move Wiggins? He was good in a complimentary role as the 4/5 guy on one of the greatest teams in NBA history not as the #1 guy on a max for a team with average talent, lol.

I understand there's a CBA. Atlanta did this exact same thing with John Collins and now they literally can't get anyone to take him. The Knicks overpaid Randle and now they're stuck with him.

Dallas can free up a max spot by moving off of Dinwiddie/Bullock next year and are almost guaranteed to have a max slot in 2 years. Luka will be 25 at that time and you think they should sacrifice it to keep Jalen Brunson and be a middle of the pack team in the West...

They moved him cuz Towns wanted his buddy on the team… lolz. Mike Conley made max for years and helped lead his team to the playoffs… then they got a bunch of stuff when they traded him but lolz at them… he wasn’t worth the max.

Mike Conley had a large sample size of being very good, but we can agree to disagree. Collins was a key player for the Hawks on a conference finals team too. Giving him a huge deal has worked out well.

You’re right they will have Luka, Hardaway Jr, Bertans, DFS and Green plus a max salary slot. Sounds like a winning formula to me just let two starters walk and you free up some salary.

You also have to renounce Powell, Kleber and Wood. Sounds like that’s a fair trade for a max salary slot. 3 starters and your two best bench players for a max salary slot.

Dallas isn't winning the title with or without Brunson. If they can get a real max player in one of the next two offseason's and Luka improves they have a chance.

If they're getting an elite player to pair with Luka an MVP level player it's certainly worth moving off of Bullock/Dinwiddie.

You’re moving off of Bullock/Dinwiddie/Wood/Kleber/Powell and Brunson lmao.
The Lakers moved off of Ball, Hart, Ingram, the #4 pick and basically their entire roster to pair AD with LeBron then worried about finding pieces around them after.
If Dallas is going to be a real contender they need a second star player.

What happened with Cuban? I remember when he was the new owner and wanted to spend money. Did he burn out on that? His net worth crash? Decided he was playing with fire and reigned it in?

Right, take a look at who is a free agent next year and who Dallas is going to sign that’s going to push them over the top.

They have traditionally killed it in FA… and all at the low cost of Dinwiddie, Bullock, letting Kleber and Wood walk… That super team of Luka, Bertans, TH, and insert FA they will surely get… that has a way better chance at winning a title than the team that just went to the western conference finals and added Christian Wood.

They just hired Nico Collins strictly to recruit big named players to pair with MVP level player Luka Doncic.

He was almost always bark and no bite. He hasn’t paid the tax in a long time… has made a some big money mistakes most notably letting Nash walk and missing out on pairing prime Dirk and prime Nash.

They essentially are adding Hardaway Jr as well.

Let’s see, retain the team that made the WCF and add Hardaway Jr plus Wood or… let the entire team walk and sign.. who exactly? Not the best crop of max free agents AT ALL.
