They gave up the Hornets pick, their 2025 1st, 2027 1st, and a 2026 pick swap. So they still have and can trade their own 2023 1st...If you believe the so-called Hawks insider that posted on their fan board over a month ago, the Hawks 1st move was to go get a high-caliber guard. Their second move was supposed to be Gobert, though the Ayton situation may have changed that.
Jazz receive: Capela, Collins, Huerter, Griffin, 2023 1stCool, they can overpay for Rudy now. They’ve got enough good players that we can figure it out without picks.
I think Bojan/Rudy for AJG, Capela, Collins, Huerter, and possibly their 1st next year makes sense.Rudy for AG, Hunter, Capella, Collins?
Why not both?I will be so annoyed if we spend anything more than the vet min on House when Yuta Watanabe is there.
Just saw that ATL isn't including their own 2023 1st in the Murray trade. Interesting...Jazz receive: Capela, Collins, Huerter, Griffin, 2023 1st
Hawks receive: Rudy, Bojan

This doesn’t seem like that much to me. We couldn’t have done something similar?

The money is a bigger problem now tbh. The expectation was Gallo would get moved and now that is adding like 17M in salary... I doubt they want to add Rudy at his money on top of what they just took. They could move Heurter into Boston's TPE or make some sort of value play that makes it work I guess.I'd guess that takes Atlanta out of the Rudy sweepstakes, their 1sts are controlled for the foreseeable future.
I think they're all unprotectedReally depends on the protections on the later picks.
I think they saved like $3M swapping Gallo for Murray though. You don't leverage your future draft capital unless you want to go all in, imo.The money is a bigger problem now tbh. I wouldn't be mad at that deal. There's also the possibility to add Huerter/Bojan into the deal as well. The rumor back then was Collins, Capella and a future 1st for Gobert, with a 3rd team chipping in something to smooth the salaries. Considering that rumor was from before the '22 draft, then the '23 draft could be that future pick.
Problem is, you put Gobert on a team with Murray, Young and Hunter, that pick is going to be in the mid-20s instead of #16 like this year. So maybe the Jazz ask for AJ Griffin in the deal.
