I don’t think we ever came to some agreement that we don’t need to put the year. But for playoff purposes, we will have to IMO.

So let me get this straight for starting five. Is it better to count the year for each era with best year or year drafted?

The rules page and the agreement reached later are in conflict. We need to have one place where the official rules are posted or we are going to keep having disagreements and confusion. Thee, can you take care of this?

The draft year determines the era.
We choose the player’s year to base the competition.

The Hick from French Lick gives me my early-era player (drafted in 1979) and I'm using his 1985/86 MVP/Championship season. His stats were shinier other years, but that was honestly the best year he ever had, all around.

I’ll hold on my upcoming pick until the rules page is updated since it effects my draft strategy and there seems to be confusion on the rules.

Every rule needs to be on page 1 or it is not a rule.

Jesus Christ this really isn’t difficult. I don’t know if you just don’t read the messages or are too dense to understand them.

We must draft players from each of the five eras stated with our first five picks. That hasn’t changed. I was simply telling gandalfe to state the season he wants for Bird. Stating the year he was drafted isn’t necessary. We know the era in which he was drafted. But we will end up needing to know which version of Bird he wants.
