I’m fine with Utah keeping Mitchell, we have options for building around him. Maybe we draft or trade somebody that can bump Mitchell to the #2 option.

They'd be getting two young players (1st round picks) on expiring deals and a future pick swap for Poeltl who's on an expiring deal as well.

What gets me us that I fully believe that DM wanted out with the reports of if we had a first or second round exit. We haven't done anything yet to make that any different. Right now we are a borderline playoff team.

Is DM willing to go a season of mediocrity when he wants more?
