I don't think they can offer those picks. They're sending their 2024 pick to ATL, and it's protected through 2026. That muddies up their ability to trade first rounders.

I read somewhere they could send their '23, '27, and 29. That'd be a good start honestly, but I don't know that they could ship their '23 due to the Heurter deal.

Sacramento definitely has the goods.

You can get the 26/28 picks unprotected along with Keegan Murray/Harrison Barnes (could flip for another 1st)/Davion Mitchell, and pick swaps some years.

So you would only get 3 first (assuming you can flip Barnes), but two of those 1st are super high value and Keegan Murray is a top 10 player in most drafts, so that's a higher quality player than anyone you're getting from NYK. Davion is a bit of a question mark.

IDK how much of that the Kings would be willing to offer though. I don't think Mitchell is a very good fit for their team and giving up their two starting forwards is a lot considering they dont have anyone to replace them with.

Even a team like the Wizards could give the Jazz a decent package.

Deni, Kispert, Johnny Davis, and then all their future picks + swaps (think only Will Barton would have to be included for filler)

The Knicks have all those extra protected picks from other teams, but if they arent willing to include all their own picks unprotected, the Jazz can get similar deals elsewhere if a team gets desperate.

Unfortunately the kings owe a future pick to the hawks with years of protections so they have no draft capital to move. They could make that 2024 hawks pick unprotected but that would still mean the soonest pick they could trade us is 2026. The team that I am hoping jumps into the conversation are the magic. I'm a big Jalen Suggs fan and they have 2 future picks from the bulls and nugs with minimal protections as well as all of their own picks. I don't know what happened with Suggs last year but I saw star potential from him at Gonzaga and see no reason why he shouldn't at least be a really really good pro.

I just don't think they have the assets. Barton, Kuzma are probably having to come over and you'd realistically have to give up on Avdija and Davis. That's in addition to their picks getting stretched clear out to 2030.

Plus a Beal/Mitchell backcourt isn't getting you anywhere in the East IMO with a ton of salary tied up. No way Porz opts out as he's taking his $36M next season.

No matter how you slice it, tough to compete with the Knicks and their warchest.

I really can't imagine buying coffee for the going rate on a daily basis. First is because I need coffee immediately after I wake up and I'm not going to get ready for work then drive and wait in a shop or drive through and then only have my coffee as I'm arriving at work. I want to drink my caffeine ASAP and stop drinking caffeine ASAP in the day. I also don't want to brush my teeth before I drink my coffee and brushing my teeth is usually the last thing I do before I head out the door.

So for all of those reasons too, but coffee made at home is so damn cheap. You can splurge on good quality beans and spend WAY less than stopping at a Starbucks. I drink my coffee black no sugar so I get nothing extra by going to a shop to get coffee.

I suppose I’m lucky in a way that I don’t really fall for all this Barista crap with Latin derived names like Cappuccino, Latte, Expresso etc. If it’s just coffee on the go you’re after, you just can’t beat Mickey D’s - I mean it’s Arabica beans and tastes amazing. They even have a few fancy barista concoctions that are like half the Starbucks price.

For me though, my daughter and I have been going through a cold brewed phase and just buy the 42 oz bottles - La Colombe if I can find it but will settle for Starbucks and Duncan. Better flavor than the Pete’s ground medium roast imo.

Eventually I’ll get serious and get a coffee bean grinder I suppose

I know this is a wildly unpopular opinion, but you know what is dirt-cheap, easy as hell, fast as hell, and gets the job done? Instant coffee. Microwave a cup of water for as long as it takes to get it just the right drinking temperature, throw in a rounded teaspoon, stir, and drink. The whole process takes 2 minutes and costs like 10 cents a cup.

Yep. Instant coffe is what i do at home. Cheap, fast, and good. Easy peasy.

I agree that it’s a tool by Ainge used to ratchet up the pressure on New York, but Sacramento is a wild card imo.

A.) They’ve done some crazy *** trades over the years.

B.) They’ve also been devoid of talent for so long that a potential chance at a star player HAS to be appealing for them.

DeMarcus Cousins was an All-Star three times in 14/15, 15/16, 16/17. Before that you’ve got to go back to 99/00 and Chris Webber to find a King in the All Star game.

Couldn't the Jazz just bring in a third team with a high pick and give them a player to get a lousy first rounder to send back to the Kings? You don't have to have Your pick. Just a pick.
