What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I do like the BDE from Ainge in completing the trade 2 days after Woj/NYK did that bogus "deadline" power play.
I like everything ainge has done. Remember when he got a first for Royce? Seems like a decade ago lol.

I cannot shake the feeling that we gotta watch the Mavs mid-season or around the draft next year (after their pick to NY conveys and the Stepien stuff can be known). I believe it's possible that they get two unprotected picks and one protected pick for him (part of the value being dumping Bertans' atrocious deal).

The Gobert trade was crazy though. Recap:
Malik beasley
patrick beverly
leandro bolmaro
walker kessler
jarred vanderbilt
2023 first round
2025 first round
2026 swap
2027 first round
2029 first round
and I believe all those picks are basically unprotected. I like what we got for rudy quite a bit more than what we got for donovan though I like both trades.

It was crazy and like I said we don’t have to do this. I would argue all three players we got from the Cavaliers are the best three players in either deal. We got an extra pick swap and the 2029 1st we got from them isn’t top-5 protected.

If the '26 is a super swap (and it kinda has to be... right?), then boioioioioioing.

Danny Ainge needs to own the T-Wolves, Cavs and Lakers drafts for the foreseeable future. It would make the tank a lot sweeter to root against those 3 teams. Knicks would’ve been fun too, but they effed around.

Love it

Peace. Sorry I had an opinion. Last night he was still talking if the Knicks and how they would resume talking today. He was definitely right lol
Relax, I'm just having some fun just like you. Carry on with your TJ takedown. I'm just happy with the trade being done, being a pretty good trade, with the Knicks tears, and with the direction of the team. I'm glad a lot of the recent years team drama is in the rear view mirror. I'm exited for our future. I just see no need to participate in picking anyone apart at the moment and join in... even if you are "right".

It's over. It was a long summer.

I'm relaxed and happy. My bad I touched a nerve with some. I don't care to bring negativity but I will make my point some other time in the near future.

I'm right there with ya though I do admit a part of me will miss Don. I think he got too big for his own good and it was all down hill. I'm actually looking forward to this season as last year was probably my least favorite sports season of any sport. This year there's no expectations besides watching young talent grow.

I’m kind of glad that the Cavs swooped in for a better offer than the Knicks. I really hate the idea of trading our best players to big market teams. Screw that.

We traded our two All Stars to Minnesota and Cleveland. Think about that. And we got a freaking haul for both of them.

We might have to hold our noses to make a deal with the Devil. . . ummm. . . I mean Lakers, but it should be worth It if DA pulls that trigger.

But after that, we need to trade Conley to New Orleans, Sacramento or Orlando.

Again, I just can’t fathom how teams are throwing around unprotected picks so far in the future. This is not going to end well. Ainge is going to be the sole reason for teams not doing this is the near future. Not sure why teams haven’t learned by now.
They can learn after we’re done accumulating them. What a haul so far.

If I'm understanding all of this, it is unbelievable the Knicks blew a chance at DM because of disagreement over top 5 protections on one pick.
