What's new

Game Thread Oct 14, 2022 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs. Mavericks (Preseason)

Added to Calendar: 10-14-22

Jazz arent short on ball-handlers, they have plenty. It's the moving part.

A driver is a bit different. It's someone who can break the paint, draw a defender over and create a bit of an advantage. NAW actually does that pretty consistently. He just seems to have no ability to actually score himself at that point, so he dumps the ball off or passes out.

Also, how many points will Jared Vanderbilt give up this year by erroneously going for offensive rebounds he has no chance at?

The dude will be one of the leading offensive rebounders in the NBA, but it will be like someone leading the league in scoring if they took 30 shot per game.

Kessler and Abaji had about the same level of performance in the opener....

He looks fluid which is nice. I'm going to be patient with him, but I dont think he is anything more than a backup. He seems smart and high IQ. Maybe once he really develops his body he will be able to have more of a defensive presence.

I think it's pretty clear Kessler isnt going to be a shot blocking god in the NBA. I think the Poetl comps looks like they make more sense though. Hopefully he can pack on some solid muscle/strength and retain what looks like to be solid mobility and you have yourself a viable backup.

He's at least serviceable as a backup, so he can be a long-term piece.

These you?

You posted a bunch of post of me describing his floor after you read the post about me describing his ceiling.

Congratulations.

See Cy, this is why people think you are insufferable. It's OK that you were wrong, we all get stuff wrong. It's just that really, you don't know much more than the rest of us but you want to fact check everything like you are an expert. Sometimes it's OK not to have an opinion on what somebody else says.
