What's new

Game 3: The Phoenix: Philadelphia 76ers @ Utah Jazz (12/30/11, 7pm MST)

I'd really like to see us go back to Al and Sap starting. Hawes can't handle Al and Sap will abuse Brand. Hell, even Bell won't hurt us too bad since he'll only have Meeks to deal with (though I'd rather start Burks against Meeks since Meeks is not remotely prepared to defend Burks.)

Anyway, Ty can effectively stagger minutes pretty well against this team. Sixers like to bring in Young for Brand, so bring in Favors for Sap. Then the Sixers typically go pretty small so you can rest Al, bring back Sap quickly, and play the matchups.

Let's Go Jazz!

Give us some damn good basketball game! (Like Houston vs Spurs yesterday with their rookie coach Kevin Mchale :) - just saying..)

So O'Connor drafted us taller R.Evans who can make free throws?

I for one dont think that would be the worst thing ever. It was a crappy draft last year and reggie evans started alot of games in the nba.
Add a couple inches to reggie evans and make him an 85% free throw shooter and youve got a pretty good player. IMO

Except we badly needed a guard.

That would be nice but Kanter is/will be shooting FT closer to 75% then 85%... 85% would be crazy good for center.

Predicting this lineup:

Harris
Bell (face-palm)
Hayward
Millsap
Jefferson

Funny thing is, maybe Favors will get more minutes this way. Hopefully Tinsley gets more minutes as well, I feel like he's a better ball-handler than Watson, or even Harris.

Don't want Sap and Big Al together. Sap is playing better right now so he should start, and Big Al come off the bench.

Same starting lineup except Millsap is starting instead of Favors. As much as I like Favors, I think think this is a good move. I think he should be the first big off the bench and he can replace either Jefferson or Millsap whoever is in foul trouble or is sucking up the joint. Favors will probably get more minutes and may stay out of foul trouble longer. Ty has got to get Favors confidence back or were screwed...check that, screwed even more than we are already screwed.
