2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Another possibility at 9. I want him to play at the 1, but I think he's probably a 2-guard. There's a chance he can be like Brad Beal. Similar size and build, similar athleticism, similar steals. They also had similar shooting splits before Keyonte fell off at the end of the year.

The Rocket fans are already talking about trading down if they can't find someway to trade up for Scoot.

Does anyone think Ainge would be willing to trade up to 4 to grab Amen?

Anyone know how Cason Wallace compares to Jamal Murray height/size wise?

They're both supposed to be 6'3-6'4 but Murray looks huge for a PG in the NBA but Wallace looks undersized as a PG in College.

Cason Wallace is 1/4 inch taller than Jared Butler. Wallace is longer, but heightwise he's going to look like our guy Butler.

Another wrinkle here is Houston is suddenly a win-now team as they owe their ‘24 pick to OKC and might grab Harden.

I think I take Whitmore there, but it might be something worth monitoring if the price can include some of our superfluous established players rather than more picks.

If Blazers move #3 my guess is its for a guy like Pascal or OG and number #13. If Miller is there I think they just take him and roll forward. Its pretty clear Dame ain't wanna leave and they don't want to trade him. I don't think Dame would love the look of drafting Scoot but who knows.

I'm curious how the Hornet eff this up... cuz they will.

Well that’s gonna be an issue.. I think we had that issue with Bulter so we’re back to square one there.
Wallace is substantially bigger than Butler and Butler’s problem is that he was arrogant and pissed everyone off, so he got buried.

Butler is not conclusive evidence that players that are 6’ 2.25” (or taller, strangely) will never succeed in the NBA. **** out of here with such inane bull ****.

just stop with the butler comps. butler wasn't a pg despite the fact they tried to make him one. he was a 6'3" wing. there is a reason butler lasted until the second round and cason is being discussed as a top 10 guy.

One of the main issues with him was his lack of size.
I get the sense there were attitude issues there as well. He also just didn't make shots. Size wasn't one of the main issues imo.
