It was always in him. He did it himself Hardy let him. That’s what he did for Lauri.Oh my bad.. you’re right.. Hardy only told Lauri to do that and that was it.

And if the Jazz made the playoffs because they were too good to tank? Potentially zero.If we would’ve had two lotto picks would our odds of moving up gone up or stay the same? For all you draft lotto guru’s
this is why I hated the trade. We helped the wolves and got little back. That pick IMO is 50% chance of being a second rounder. I would’ve rather just traded Conley to anyone else for 2-4 seconds. Having two lotto picks in this draft would’ve been huge.
As for the rest of your post. I still like where we are at. We will be able to choose between multiple players I like at both 9, and 16. For this reason I don’t want to see a trade unless it’s into the top 3 or for one of the twins
Edit: only want to trade for a twin if one falls a few spots.
And in the case that the Lakers tank their asses off to keep their pick and succeed, that 2nd is virtually a late 1st.You do realize that at absolute worse case which would be the Lakers having the worst record in the league it is a 52% chance of them being in the top-4.
If I had to guess right now I would say the pick ends up in the 8-12 range.
But don’t we get their 2nd of the following season? And in the case that the Lakers tank their asses off to keep their pick and succeed, that 2nd is virtually a late 1st.

Oh ok good observation.
Nice glass half full approachAnd in the case that the Lakers tank their asses off to keep their pick and succeed, that 2nd is virtually a late 1st.
Thanks, but for real, I think that’s why that pick and ‘29 Timberwolves pick is structured that way.Nice glass half full approach

Seems like a team has to have a transcendent player.
Watch his HS gamesWhy are people so high on Whitehead? He played 28 games and his stat line is 8-2-1. That's not good.
It certainly gave them less options to get better but they still have a decent amount of flexibility to change their future for the better. One of the important parts of the Wolves trade is that it also made the Wolves worse long term. It will be really hard to flip Conley for anything of value and that salary slot, which they can't really replace, will expire.
Their flexibility pretty much lies in trading KAT at this point. I don't think they are going to get the value for that that many are expecting. It certainly gave them less options to get better but they still have a decent amount of flexibility to change their future for the better.
