2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Amen is the player that gives me the most queasiness to pick/pass on. He's probably going number 4....I just have no idea what kind of player HOU is getting and I don't love the development program they've got there. I don't even know who they should take instead though. Don't like Cam in HOU either. There would be no passing ever. I would try to trade out of that pick if I were them.
They should want Walker or Hendricks there. I honestly agree they should trade back to grab one of those guys and get whatever they can get in the process.

I wonder if the cost would be sufficiently low to move up that it is like 9 and a future first?

Jazz are looking at 6 guards right now: Black, Bufkin, Wallace, George, Hood-Schifino and probably one of the Thompsons. That's just a ton of guards in the 7 - 16 range.
And three or 4 will be there at 16. That is why the jazz should go big at 9.

i made a big board and ranked JHS higher. iow, i like jhs more, but it's close. they are comparable.
They aren't. If they were there would be talk about Bailey going in the lottery and instead it's a question if he will go in the first round.

I challenge you to find a successful NBA PG who average more turnovers than assist at any point in their college career. You might **** around and find one, and they are probably going to be an elite scorer, which Bailey is not.

Edwards from the athletic is saying the pistons really like Hendricks & Ausar. Could be smoke but that could be one possible trade-up opportunity for us if we want Cam

"[Edwards] Im hearing the Pistons will be strongly considering 5 prospects if they stay put at No. 5: Amen and Ausar Thompson, Cam Whitmore, Jarace Walker & Taylor Hendricks. Hendricks, in particular, impressed in front of Pistons execs & coaches. Ausar also has some big supporters in the Pistons’ FO"
Make the trade with the Pistons and get Bogey back too!

If we did use #16 to move up in this draft, what are the best ways we move up from #28? Salary relief for GS, Miami, Brooklyn?
I had a whole thread on it... tldr....

28 and Ko for 15 and John Collins - saves them an *** ton of money an gives them a JC replacement for a year. Also could do 28 for 15 and John Collins and they have full MLE available.
28 for GP@ and 19
28 for Oladipo and 18 - Could also do something with Robinson here.
28 and THT (or KO) for Joe Harris and 21 - 28 for patty mills and 21... both save them some money.
28 and KO to Houston for 20 - Gets them a vet who they loved while he was there.
