2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I think im so enamored with this draft for us because of so many wild combos.

A weird/fun one: Bufkin, Cason and Sidy or GG
Bufkin/Cason is just too small for me if we are projecting them to both be starters, but I do like the idea of both just to double down on making sure you get the right PG.....

But JHS/Bufkin? Send me to Heaven.

I actually think Black/JHS is one of the better combinations of guards.

I’m not a fan of a Bufkin/Cason combination. Seems a little redundant to me.

Bufkin is the same size as Ochai.....

Cason has a longer wingspan than Bufkin.

Woof, I like/love them both in various degrees, but thats a rough backcourt with Kessler.

How so? JHS has an elite mid-range game. Black has an elite rim game and will be able to put pressure on opposing bigs making easy baskets for Kessler on dump-offs. I think both will be serviceable from 3. Both have way better size than both Wallace and Bufkin.

Both are high level defenders.
Yeah, I'm not an anti-Kobe guy (quite the opposite as I have him ranked 10th on my big board which is as high as anyone has ranked him according to the big board thread), but I dont like the idea of a smaller sized backcourt and if you have both Wallace and Bufkin you got two smaller backcourt players. They arent tiny or anything, but teams will be able to exploit their size in playoff settings. I'd prefer a backcourt that is a bit more switchable, and that's hard to do with two sub-200 lbs guards.

Haha I'm not advocating Cason/Bufkin you guys. It was called "weird/fun" combo.

But a midrange game and a rim game get really hard when everyone on the other team are camped in the paint.

Denver just won the championship with two starters shooting sub 35.7% from 3.
